Legion - Rare missions question

Bit of a random one.

Am trying to farm reins of the llothien prowler atm and putting a few alts through Legion to have more shots at the Nightbourne caches.

Would anyone know how far you have to advance on your mission table for a rare mission (the ‘torn invitation’ in this case) to be able to drop? Is completing the first mission and recruiting the first set of troops enough?

I very much doubt it. It does not feel consistent with general mission behavior. And if it did, I’m not sure you could get your followers in shape to handle it before it expired.

I would guess you at least need one follower of the mission’s level.

Cool, cheers. Guess that makes sense, alas xD

Even if the mission does show at that level, will your first two Champions at their base level be able to do it?

Do you know the name of the mission? I couldn’t find it on Wowhead. If you do, there might be something more useful in the comments.

Good point. My understanding from reading guides online etc is the mission keeps reappearing even if you fail it once you have it, so I guess my original plan was to have as many alts as possible shooting for the Torn Invitation and then, once one gets it, level up the class hall on that toon : P

The quest is called ‘A “noble” mission’ but I can’t seem to find the names of the actual missions unfortunately…

This post on the US forums seems to suggest it’s possible to get the invitation without a fully completed class hall at least.

The invitation can appear from multiple sources, including:

  • Nightborne Caches

  • Class Order Hall Missions

  • Withered Army Training Scenario

The invitation starts a quest chain that will net you a Llothien Prowler.
