Legion was the best expansion ever

I disagree, yes legion introduced many features that got pushd to the extreme later on, but in legion most of those feature were still implemented in a sensible way, and therefore worked well.

legion is cell replication, SL is cancer, just because cancer spreads due to cell replication, it does not mean that cell replication sucks per se.

I’m more on the side of saying that a framework working once does not imply said framework will suceed every single time its being applied.

Legion also introduced a lot of cool stuff that we lost afterward.

Both BFA and SL removed what made Legion good while doubling down on its downsights.

Kinda sad i didnt play Legion, seems like alot of ppl liked that expansion.

It was a good expansion IF :
-You were not doing progress
-Playing 1 spec per char

RNG on gear? I’m curious, if legion used to have bad rng gear ( which oddly you would get a gear drop from every raid boss, plus bonus roll, not to mention gear drop in BGs. Yeah RNG fiesta on gear for sure lol ), how does bfa and SL seems to you then?!

Firstly, I’m pointing out how RNG were legiondaries. Looting agrammar’s stride, which honestly…I’d rather not have.
Secondly, I’m talking aboot titanforging, which added an extra layer of RNG on loots, which was simply : “Did I loot that item ? yes or no” which became “Did I loot that item ? If yes, then did it :
-Had socket slot ?
-Tertiary stat ?
-warforged ?
-Or titanforged ?
-If it did titanforged, +15, +20 or +25 ?”

That was not fun.

And i rly enjoyed fact my melee didnt need to hunt for usefull weapon(which always hold melee back if u dont have high ilvl one)

Legion introduced all the issues we currently have in the game beside the covenant lock.

It worked because it was new and innovating, not because it had a great design. Content was great and the delivery excellent (77 day patch ?) but 7.0 was much worse than 9.0 in many ways

Oh you can’t swap covenants to play multiple specs ? No worry in 7.0 you could only play one character because of the massive AP grind. And only for one of its specs of course.

Torghast is too grindy and a chore to obtain legendaries ? Well in 7.0 you better pray the RNG god’s gave you the right one because z character can only get 4 of them. If you’re unlucky you can delete your character and start again.

Legion worked very well, but if you have any issue with systems, retention features, heavy RNG & borrowed power then you have legion to thank for it.

But that is because blizzard always took the BAD part of expansion and iterate on it
people love MOP??? ok we gut everything to the point wow is no longer look like wow
and now i’m talking about removing sockets from gear so they are random removing many enchants so you couldn’t enchant all your gear or removing stats?
so many customization were gone after MOP
Who told them to do it?? i don’t remember people around crying about that there is so many stats in game and things in game
i always loved to put sockets into my gear and enchant it all
i even like reforging even tho you always used ADDON xD

I didn’t get to play Legion when it was live - as I only started when BfA launched. But - I have since played through it and I really enjoyed it. While everyone was miserable in BfA I had a blast playing old Legion content - I even locked my character at level 110 for months so I wouldn’t over level.

When Legion classic comes out - come what may I will sub & play it!

Legion was a poor expansion that we enjoyed because Illidan, Demon Hunters, Ashbringer, Doomhammer, Argus, revamped Dalaran, Demon Hunters and Illidan.

Also we had fast levelling for alts using Invasions.
We had new story / content for alts in Order Hall campaigns.
We had easy alt gearing with Dauntless Gear (much better than Korthian Gear).

Wasn’t a bad expansion at all . My fav color is green so that was cool. Some of the music there was epic. Actually the last expac that I was teuly hooked on wow like a good book and couldnt set it down.

I go back there to level mostly or for a change I do wod or TBC. The rest for me are soul destroying. Im not talking about SL as that is off topic.
