Legion wasn't the end of demons

And i’m not just talking about the dreadlords, Argus isn’t the realm of chaos , so Fel magic is still there, to my knowledge it’s just a planet that Sargeras decided to use to fuel the armies ( correct me if i’m wrong )
there are other demons that aren’t even Fel , or at least aren’t fully allied with the legion
I’ll use some warlock demons and spells as examples :
The Voidwalker : Obviously , but not just because it’s voidy and it has void in it’s name, there are many more variations of this creature, models going back to burning crusade days, and even now in a shadowlands bastion world quest.
The Dreadlords : created by Sire Denathrius , we went to Castle Nathria , there’s no Fel.
The Dreadlords also show that there can be demons can be corrupted by other forces, like how Lotrhraxion got “corrupted” by the light
-Quote by Illgynoth: The cunning ones bow before 6 masters but serve only one
The succubus : She comes out of a shadow portal, she also has a charm which is a form of mind control , which is heavily connected to void, old gods and shadow priests . ( and just to reinforce this argument , there is a warlock glyph that makes your succubus have fel wings ( glyph of the fel temptress ) if she’s fel then why would we have a glyph that changes her to a fel version) .
Imp: not all imps can actually use fel magic , some of them just cast normal firebolts ( note that the talent "power siphon " allows the warlock to literally absorb an imp and fire it’s core as a " demonbolt " , demonbolt is a mixture of fire and shadow , not fel )
Void terrors : there is one boss in ny’alotha , by the name of SHAD’HAR THE INSATIABLE
There’s also another one in blackwing lair i think, that is a void terror, they aren’t common so google if you want to know what they look like, I can’t include links.
Affliction’s cooldown, Summon Darkglare, a giant eyeball demon, but it comes from a void portal and also shoots purple lazer beams
Demonology’s cooldown is demonic tyrant must cast fel stuff right ? wrong
Tyrant is basically a vengeance demon hunter metamorphosis model that kinda looks like diablo too , but it’s shadowy and it casts demonbolts
There has also been a few location where the legion is using shadow and fire magic alongside with fel
a lot of people think the days of demons are over and sargeras is their lord , which i don’t think so ? we never explored the realm of chaos, we barely went to the twisting nether a few times, but the twisting nether isn’t even a physical place , the few times where we went there we’re on a rock floating in space ,
I’m thinking of something like the shadowlands but for Chaos

If I remember right Outlands floats in the twisting nether and Dreadscar rift is also floating there.
Argus really depends if Blizzard wanted to perma kill Kil’jaeden. And I guess Archimonde is still alive in the nether considering he is still alive in the end cinematic of Draenor when he sends off Gul’dan through the portal.

Most likely is that after Sargeras imprisonment the Legion has divided into smaller fragments, like the Imperial Remnants in Star Wars, and the fragments are ruled by their own demonic warlords. And I’m quite sure we will have some interactions with these parties at some point.

There are still demons yes.
But ‘The Burning Legion’ is broken up and no longer a functioning organization. Afaik anyway.

They did simply imprison Sargeras. So him and his jailers are able to return at some point.

Well, illidari are still here, they are not retired!

Aren’t there a bunch of other timelines and multiverses like second-old Draenor that still have a planet Argus floating around fabricating legion creatures? We only went to one. Maybe there are also an infinite amount of different Twisting Nethers.

Basically the answer is whatever story they want to tell they’ll think of something to make that happen, with or without thought and effort put in it.

So far so good.

Only thing is that Argus was used to fuel the rebirth of demons, thus basically giving them instant respawns. Now that we dealed with it they are going to stay a long time in the twisting neither waiting to be reborn.

BC demons could raise the dead for instance.

Demons existed before Sargeras joined them so that’s fair.

That said the eredars will slowly dwindle as they came from Argus & the burning legion itself is over as Sargeras was its leader.

As for the realm of chaos yeah most likely

The WoD ending is non canon in that regard. The mythic end of the fight where he gets killed in the nether is. He’s gone for good. There is a blue post about it. And no I am not kidding.

Demons were a plague on numerous worlds long before Sargeras went nutty. In fact his charge was to seek out demons and blast them to bits, hoping to quell the rampant horde of monsters prowling the cosmos at random.

When he ultimately realized that they never remained dead… well you might say he took the news poorly.

Without their masters to guide them, I expect most of the Legion has returned to their old ways. No real organization to speak of, but numerically they’re likely near-to as endless as they were before the events of Legion - with the exception of the leadership we surgically removed on Argus.

If that is the case I hope with all the retconing going on this one would be changed. Blizzard treated the two iconic demon lords of the franchise extremely bad, especially Kil’jaeden…
