Legit or Scam?

Got an email regarding the new authenticator with a link to downland it from noreply@te.battle.net. Is this the genuine Blizzard account or is it a scam to click and steal your info? Its the “te” part of the address that concerns me

Looks like scam to me

Its a scam my pal got it while I was talking to her.

never download an app through an e-mail link

Definitely a scam. Delete it as fast as possible.

U cant download something from an email address… it is not an URI.

You gotta see which link is linked to this part of text. Battle.net is also the correct domain and subdomain wouldnt matter.

Sender address can be masked.

u can check all of this, and u will find 100% a proof of scam.

The old Authenticator is being phased out and the deadline is approaching. I got a mail as well but just follow the instructions here if you’re not on the new one.

Notice the “.te” right after the @. Blizz mail doesn’t have that

That’s the giveaway. Any official email from Blizzard will never have something like that… if you are ever in doubt contact Blizzard support and don’t even click on the email. Doing so will likely send you to a fake website that will usually have a keylogging malware in it.

Delete the email immediately if you haven’t already.

Would just log in the app and check the app because it automatically refferrs u to the new auth app.
don’t trust the mail even tho its possible its legit

Seems the Nigerian princes are moving away from wanting to give you millions of euros to helping you to get your authenticator sorted out :o

it is a email address and no uri. domain battle.net is correct and subdomain well,…

Classic scam

Well I downloaded it and I couldn’t be happier.

Among other things the benefits include:

  • Keylogger - very handy for when you need to look up what was said mid-argument with a loved one!

  • Shared bank details - it’s like having a concierge service, all of the things you never knew you needed bought for you by a random stranger!!

  • Infecting friends - with access to your friends’ contact details, they’ll all now get to share the benefits too, they’ll love you for it!!!

  • Adult star deluxe - all of your “personal” photos will be viewable by some weirdo in China, get instant feedback and tips on how to improve that pout!!!

I’m not seeing any downside personally.
