flying should be made much easier to get after the expansion is not current anymore. Shadowlands is the one expansion i dont got flying for because i quit before the first patch. And i am not really eager to go back there either. But i dont want flying in case some quest ever sents us back there or if i ever intend to do the raids and dungeons there for tmogs
When it first came out I struggled with two chars to level to cap doing the quests and I was about ready to scratch my eyes out of their sockets. I have tried several times since and sorry but faced with the dialogue and the environment I find the whole thing seriously boring. I level chars all the time and I never pick up the BfA quests beyond that woman introducing me to her âfarderâ or what ever. â good⌠goodâ⌠AHHHHHH ! I just run away.
For me I have no issues levelling my current path and at least WoD is entertaining specially as I can do Mythic raiding on my own. So sorry, BfA isnât ever gonna happen for me.
As someone who has done Pathfinder when it was current, I really hope no-one else has to do that. They should totally just allow flying as they did for WoD and Legion.
Youâre a far better person than me. I want people to experience the same pain I went through. OP literally admits they didnât do it because they thought it was pointless and now wants it served to them on a platter. No f-n way.
Being able to fly in older expansions should be a reward reserved for people who put in the time and effort to unlock it.
I still canât fly in BFA even after unlocking Zandalari race. And this is the reason for me to never go back to that expansion. I donât want to run the pyramid up and down, find my way through mob groups in zones were you end up in deep water often, etc.
Iâm to old for jumping pointless hoops because Blizzard thinks they can force me too and so I have to keep my subscription.
This never worked in WoW. Players always went the easier way and just skipped everything that is unnecessary, stupid or both.
BfA is both especially when you canât solo the legacy raids.
Thing is the pain will never be the same. Newer players doing this at max level wonât get overrun with mobs, compete with the entire EU population for rares and chests in Mechagon, play in War Mode just because of better rewards and run into the occasional PvPer who destroyes them etc.
Or any of the good stuff either, randomly finding an essence that basically only exists for the sake of flavor, finally getting that last gods forsaken Tortollan Scroll.
Really all new players are forced to do is run through a couple of semi-deserted continents where there are only people leveling, then a couple of truly deserted continents where it wonât even be that much an issue to do things. We suffered with ground movement in Nazjatar mostly because of the mobs and enemy players, at max level these are not concerns. So⌠just let people have their fun and fly when leveling. Itâs the only expansion where you canât fly once you reach LvL 30.
Gatekeeping old content is just bizzare at this point, let people play the game the way they want thereâs no reason to have them locked out of features. It doesnât devalue anyoneâs efforts who grinded their butts off to get flying. I remember unlocking flying was such huge pain in BFA, just let the new/returning players have their fun if you ask me.
It was a walk in the park compared to WoD. At least I got a low textured McDonaldâs rylak out of it I guess.
I hope they will remove the flying restrictions in BFA. It is legacy content.
Unless the devs lose few players if they won´t remove BFA flying restrictions in 10.1
You have to tell this Blizzard, not me. I said why I think blizzard has not done it.
I do agree they should do something and make the Flying easier to obtain.
But I will say, the reason why should do 2 year old content, is because the content was actually really good and youâll enjoy it.
But yeh, the Pathfinder Achievement could still be just the Mount. Whilst Flying itself can just automatically unlock at level 60 when youâre ready to goto DF.
Actually, I think they should make it, so you get flying after beating the campaign. With flying the campaign has zero immersion.
You can say about BFA whatever you want, but the world design was great. I think they also should have never added flying to it aswell tbh. It only made the very big world, very small all of the sudden. The issues of BFA were stuff like the World Quest grinds, azerite, pvpers being forced into pve and vice-versa, etc.
Isnât that what it already is?
Complete the Story quests and War Campaign, but for both alliance and horde.
Which I appreciate is a little more difficult to achieve than just finishing a campaign for any other expansion.
I agree, flying during the questing doesnât add any value. But when players hit 60, they will just end up going to Dragon Isles anyway. So most of the time they would come back just to either clear old content or transmog farm raids.
Still my number 1 expansion.
Ah did they already remove the rep requirement of having revered on all factions?
If so, I think the outcry for flying in BFA has zero justification in my personal opinion, bc just beating the campaign is easy and engaging compared to what we had to go through in bfa itself to get flying -.-
Not sure, canât remember. I did it during BFA, so if they have removed something, I wasnât paying attention.
Yeah, I think they should not require rep grinds anymore, but someone should have to do the main campaign to get it, because kultiras was not made for flying, and especially for a new player I think it would ruin the story experience
You donât reach the reputation requirements by questing. I quested through both campaigns (Alliance Iâm at maybe 80% completion) and I still nowhere close to Pathfinder.
So it feels like you still need factions on revered.
Are there higher texture rylak mounts in the game?
agree remove this pathfinder crap and allied races restrictions and give it to everyone
they have insane catchup systems and alt friendliness in DF itself meanwhile some years old expansion holds back nice basic feature behind grind
