I started WoW retail two expansions ago, right at the end of BFA, right a week into Shadowlands release. I didn`t do the huge meta achivement for the flying because at that time it was pointless. But now its been two expansions and we cant fly still there
We can fly everywhere else, even in the newest expansion, but not in BFA? Why should I be forced to do 2 expansion old content for months, to unlock flying?
Please, remove the restriction, it will allow people like me, fill in the dead times in game with doing various mount farms for example

The reason is, that people, who played it, and have gone through the 100s of turtle quests don’t feel bad for having done it. I think they will unlock it in the expansion after Dragonflight.

I am fairly new compared with others. I just played Shadowlands and now DF
I understand that they removed the flying requirements in Shadowlands for Legion, did they not? Is this not the same thing? Blizzard do these things all the time, why not BFA? If I would have played BFA I would have had it unlocked , as I unlocked everything in SL, but I didnt so I dont see why I should be forced in a huge two part meta achivement two expansions later.
If blizzard would consider players feelings, they wouldnt have released Celestial Steel or Feldrake , dont you agree? These things actually hurt peoples feelings, money spent for something that becomes free. Not a two expansion old meta achivement that everyone forgot about anyways.

I don’t, because those are way way older. I think they don’t wanna do it for too recent expansion. BFA is only one expansion ago. They will make BFA legacy content next expansions like Legion probably, and then you can farm this to oblivion. If they nullify grinds too early from the past, then it feels bad to do any grinds in the current expansions, bc u think that in 1 year everyone can get the same without any effort.
Yet Legion flying was allowed in Shadowlands, just after BFA finished.
Ok why do you think that? I have not seen anyone saying that flying should not be allowed from these older people. Maybe it is all in your head?

No, you can fly everywhere except BFA…which is ridiculous, in Legion there was a meta achievement for flying as well and it was removed as soon as Shadowlands launched.

I still don’t get why new players are put into BFA, its not exactly newbie-friendly.
But regardless of that, pathfinder should just be removed. It’s a pointless restriction.

i think that BFA is wrong being the start zone. blizzard should offer CHROMIE TIME FOR VANILLA WOW in retail…old quests, old zones…
if anyone actually likes the current post-cataclysm zones they can also chromie time into them…

Pathfinder on a two expansion prior , should definitely be removed as they did with Legion. Nobody would care , only petty people. I`m a new player started in Shadowlands, why should I farm BFA for months to be able to fly

Question? Why on earth is anyone playing BfA? It has to be the most dreary, dull boring expansion and has been scaled to max to make it even more of a chore. Not flying there is just one better reason not to do it. Good thing is you can skip the expansion completely… thank goodness.

I do think for new players (at the very least) it should be opened up. I can imagine it’s quite confusing to hit 30 and get a quest to go learn flying and when you do so that this newly learnt flying doesn’t actually work in the areas you’re leveling in.

Before I played wow, I thought that I would have to beat all expansions first before I could do the current one, and it put me off xd (And also ,that I would have to buy all expansions)
That was the case not long ago.
I played it. That was the worst part of the expansion for me honestly. Riding on the ground while leveling is fine, i mean I’d do it even without the limitation, but it’s honestly terrible to do endgame or old content without that. Nobody needs to deal with it and newbies should just get bfa flying for hitting 60/70.

What? You still can’t fly in BfA without the achievement?
It’s literally the best expansion for leveling, especially for Alliance, and especially with flying. Plus good mogs, good mounts etc…
