Hi everyone.
I’m not sure if there’s a method to convert honor into gold resources such as lv80 gems or other materials, but I’ve been searching at every vendor and can’t find anything to make PvP a sustainable game mode.
I mean… I play PvE too and already got every raid down, but it would be a really good implementation to have something that could convert (let’s say) 3x 15-minutes battlegrounds into 100g-worth gems/dusts/crystals/cloths/etc and make PvP sustainable over time.
This would make PvPers want to keep playing PvP. Enjoying the game. Being rewarded for their time like everyone else. And gladly paying their subscriptions.
Let me know what you think about this but please try to consider that there is people enjoying PvP and we are not just a bunch of whatever you might think.
Have a great day!

You can farm rawgold while waiting for queues. Also, you can get some copper getting insignias from dead bodies in BGs, i see no problem.
JK.
Would be nice to at least, be able to repair your gear with honor.

You scared me with that copper farm joke…
jokes aside, mithril is the new gold
Yeah please. I think in cata people started buying brutal glad mutilators to vendor, was like 400g/honor cap? At least it was something

Yeah they could start by removing durability loss in PvP
And then add gem vendor for honor like how it was back then (tho it was 3.1 thing)

There should be some small conversion rate for honor to gold at least. It could be super low gp/hr like 25. As it is currently people sit at honor cap like 1 week into a patch for the whole patch
When I did WSG rep grind in TBC I wasted around 300k honor EASILY, because there was nothing to buy that I could do anything with. What’s wrong with getting a small amount of gold from that? If I was grinding that amount of pve content I would have made tons of gold indirectly without meaning to do so

Conversion to gold might be too problematic / hard to balance but people indeed run into honor cap quickly so maybe they could add a BoA 2k honor token you buy for dunno anywhere between 4-10k honor so there is a way to stack excess honor and you can keep it to stack for next season or quickly gear up an alt w/o spending wg marks or shards.

in tbc, 1000 gold was enough for me for + -14 days. Potions, explosives, engineering bombs.
100 gold for 5-6 bg would be a good solution. Think about it Blizzard.

but you didn’t. You did something that’s more fun to do. Hence the reward is different. Imagine me going to my boss saying that me playing games should give me some sort of salary cause the time I spent playing games I could be working at the factory
The reward is you don’t have to suffer in BGs anymore and can start doing arenas.
They dont need to win to earn honor
Yes, thats totally the reward as to why honor capped players do battlegrounds…
To be fair players already earn gold for playing battlegrounds as cta and rbg bonus also gives gold rn, it’s just not displayed on the UI, and it’s around ~25g per game or so, not bothered to check the exact amount.
But what some people are not understanding here is the topic of the post:
Honor surplus. Totally worthless honor surplus and lack of motivation to play PvP.
If you are going to take this to another level/mode/etc of the game you’re in the wrong post, guys.
TY
What’s wrong with the level 70 gems
