"Let the fires come"

Am I the only that thinks this is an impossible quest making the whole hallows end achievement list impossible ?

You go to brill, but cannot hope to put the fires out solo, and even with 2 of you its impossible.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to complete this ?

With a group?

lolol, yeah. There were 3 of us doing it. Outside of that I cannot see any group looking to do it.

I actually gave up this year. People afk stood around rather than take part, tried a few times but not enough actually taking part and don’t seem to understand how it works.

Didn’t find any groups listed but I only tried that one morning.

It’s pretty bad this year and as all my realms went from medium pop to low it’s damn impossible to get it done every day and on alts. Even the queue for the horseman can take an hour some times.

Putting out the fires requires participation from at least 10 and there needs to be some level of coordination in putting out the same fires as they can take several buckets to properly douse, The bigger fires need to be dealt with first or they’ll just reignite what’s been doused.
Real easy on a high pop with lots of people throwing buckets everywhere, absolutely pointless anywhere else if there’s only a few people participating

You and me should team up. Give me a shout on discord later, but we will need 2 more.

mine is done by itself somehow… i went to brill tried once , failed and went to sm to farm the dungeons, when i left the 3 dungeons i got a notification saying it’s completed. went back to brill and saw that someone else came & did the quest. have no idea how that happened . it sure is outdated with the shards etc. but they’ll probably redesign these events next year. at least that’s what i’m hoping for

Me and Puny are both on Draenor. If Brill is dead for us… id hate to see a low pop realm.

Its a shame that this particular quest and achieve did not age well with the game.
I remember when I was on US and first started the game, you couldn’t move in brill there were so many people taking part.

Brill is very difficult place to achieve that, I guess it’s broken at that area. Do it near Silvermoon, it’s much easier. We tried as 10 people at Brill first for an hour with no success. But then we moved to Silvermoon and it was finished in 1 minute.

I honestly never had a clue you could do it at Silvermoon

I actually just tried. And the first upstairs never seem to go out. There were 3 of us, ont he same patch and nope. Am I missing something

Something has changed with this quest. I tried in Azure Watch which is usually easy as only one building goes on fire. None of the fires went out. I gave up after four attempts. Tried Goldshire. Same problem. What has Blizzard done to the Hallow’s End quests this year? I gave up trying to bomb Undercity as I kept being disconnected. What a shambles!

Myeah, my main is on Silvermoon (highest Alliance pop realm?) and even in our Goldshire I’ve had this fail occasionally because of fires instantly respawning (if they even went out in the first place). And we were like 15+ people running our butts off with buckets. Eventually we succeeded, but something’s up for sure.

Maybe ol’ sir Thomas’ shade has learned to use oil this year, or he’s ordered those cursed flames from Stratholme that never go out.

Ok, so all you need is 4 people (In Silvermoon at least).

When the event starts have 2 people stand within throwing distance of the furthest building, and 2 more stood just within range of the water. The 2 by the water pick up the water and throw it at the 2 closer to the buildings who then keep throwing it at the building (both at the same spot and work your way up and across). Then do the same with the one closer to the water.

Doing it this way allows you to throw water so fast it will put it out and beats having a 10 man uncoordinated team there.

If you move between 2 locations. EG from Brill to Silvermoon, drop the quest and pick it up again as it can bug out.

I am sure you can apply this logic to other places also.

Don’t do it in Brill .
It happens in all the first level cities , unless something has changed .
For Alliance the easiest is Draenei starter zone .
For Horde it is the Belf starting zone .
Both of the above were soloable before

They deffo are no longer soloable. The fire spreads far too quickly.

What I wrote above was what we did in SIlvermoon.

Goldshire is so much easier to do compared to Brill.
