LET TWINKS queue bgs with levelers!

If they fight their own level players - this will motivate them.
If they keep getting raped for 20mins straight - they will be motivated not to ever touch wow/BG again.
If you need target dummies and can’t stand other twinks - maybe pvp is not for you?

Tl;dr: twinks downplaying how OP they are because they enjoy fighting people who don’t stand a chance.

There’s a reason why xp off games never happen, twinks don’t really want to fight other twinks.

You can’t just treat them like they are the best thing ever, when they are entering a PvP mode in a 16 year old game man, especially a game that has no equal.

What do you think would happen when a completely newbie swordsman faces off against a Master Duelist in real combat? The newbie is going to get his butt kicked.

You should try twinking yourself sir. It’s only as bad as people make it to be at 20-39; but that is because of class viability, not because of twinks having insane gear. Go make a level 20 arcane mage right now, and enchant it with nothing more than Elemental Force and Hidden Satyr. You’ll see the results.

They can always get full mythic gear and queue 120 random BG. Effect will be the same.
Oh wait, they would actualy need to do some gard content, something more than targeting dummies.

That is why there are brackets, there are amateurs and pros leagues, etc. etc.
I can’t remember any amateur participating in olympic games for example.

Twinks have between 4-5 times the amount of versa on average, but please continue downplaying them. And while certain specs are indeed busted at lower levels, twinks with grandfathered garbage are on a whole other level.

You can downplay it all you want, Blizzard seperated xp on and off again for that exact reason. However now they all flocked to the 20-29 bracket.

I level alot, and like doing bgs. I had to enchant my looms, but its still not on an even level. You said it yourself. And it makes me in turn OP compared to non enchanted people. Time and time again I see those people quit the bg because they have no fun. It isn’t good for the game.

I’m sorry to say, but WoW isn’t the olympics. In fact, at low levels, BGs are literally more balanced above 39, because of how number values and utility distribution across the levels work.

Level59 twinking is the best example of this.

And twinks generally don’t want the queues to merge again because we want to farm noobs, it is because the queues are broken. You need 30+ people to be qued at the same time for a WSG pop, and there aren’t enough of us to sustain regular queues.

Which exactly reflects what I said: 80% of a twink’s powerlevel, which can diminish down to 70% depending on the bracket.

It is still very much possible to beat twinks as a leveler. Believe it (or not, I’m p sure you won’t), but as we go up in the brackets, skill starts to matter more and more, especially starting at the 50-59 bracket.

The thing is, with a semi twink, I can literally do what I did with my 59 twink as well, farm bad players. The only difference is that I will eventually outlevel my bracket - at which point, I can just make a new character, and start over.

Edit: and funnily enough, Blizz did do a lot for twink balance in 8.2: they rebalanced a lot of the stuff that was actually broken (Sul’thraze, Ramstein’s), and introduced better gear for the levelers by giving higher ilvl gear from dungeons, BG bags, and from quests. But then they also seperated queues, which was a very contradictory move to say the least.

@ OP - While there’s a case to be made for Twinks being back in regular Battlegroups – You’re doing a horrible job at it.

The most obvious reason is gear plays a bigger role while twinking since u have less abilities to outplay people at lower levels.

troll thread is a troll, very obvious

If PvP at max lvl wasn’t so atrocious, perhaps, but with the god awful systems in place with the whole azerite, essence and corruptions nonsense and therefore being horribly broken beyond repair…low lvl PvP is the only ‘‘balanced’’ PvP out there currently. As an altoholic spamming BGs, i can attest to that, so much more fun and optimized numbers-wise, that it actually feels like PvP.

I just can’t understand why would someone want to play target dummy wsg, vs players, who potentialy played this game for like 2hours.
The only way twinks could go back to BG are:

  • twinks cannot be ported in together with fresh players without heirlooms
  • twinks can only be ported with people who level alts with heirlooms
  • max 1 twink per team (so max 2 twinks total)
  • if twinks queue to common bg, twinks have their stats reduced by x% (reduced damage done, max HP, healing done, increased damage taken by set amount). 20-30%.

So if you are bored of no queues and want to do some battles, this would be somewhat more balanced, else it would just be a bully yard and again would kill low level BG.

Let twinks eat twix!
Seems better that way and levellers can still enjoy PvP

So you’re just a sad bully

FIrst of all, I literally haven’t seen a single new player in BGs playing the game since BfA began, only bad players. I literally seen people in the lvl20 bracket fully twinked up on his arcane mage not even using Frost Nova and dying. What I have seen is a lot of people asking me how I’m doing so good, so I explained it to them, and helped them be better. Wouldn’t you know it, several guys I helped out even got their Wrecking Balls just as they got back into BGs. And they weren’t twinks

Second of all, just because someone twinked up their toon doesn’t mean that they are an unstoppable one man army. Low level PvP depends a lot on playing the proper class, and the proper enchants.

If anything, the low level brackets are unbalanced because of the fact that at level 20, a druid has: travel form, hots, spammable strong heal, instantcast strong heal, car form, bear form, wrath and dots. An arcane mage has: Polymorph, Nova and Missiles. Contrasted to a Retribution: they have a couple damaging spells and a hoj. Cool.

Of course this diminishes as we go up the brackets, but it still sticks because of how low level numbers work. A sub rogue is going to be an extremely great pick from level 40-119. A fire mage is going to be an amazing pick from level 60-119. Warriors start to kick in at 39-40 as well.

The only way high ILVL people could do BGs are:

  • ilvl 475 people cannot be ported together with freshly dinged people(or people below 460 ilvl)
  • ilvl 475 people can only be ported with people with all consumables
  • max 1 ilvl475 per team (so 2 total)
  • if ilvl475 que BGs, have their stats reduced by x%

What you are proposing is fundamentally stupid. Twinks are not an unbeatable entity that only exists to farm new players. A high ilvl player queing randoms has the exact same side effect as a twink queing a BG: those who are unprepared (and are bad players, which becomes especially important as we go up the brackets) will lose.

Sure, prepping up at high level takes a lot of time: cloak, neck, azerite gear, corruptions, all that bread and butter. However, all it takes for a low level, is nothing more than 10-15k gold of investment into heirlooms, enchants, and a couple other utility stuff if you so desire. People just have 0 knowledge about this, so instead they retreat into a state where they are blaming something that they could have easily prevented, and can still prevent.

New players will get dominated in an almost 16 year old game, when a LOT of twinks are: ex gladiators / ex elites; high rated people; WoW veterans; BG heroes. New players will also get dominated by semi-twinks just in the same way. Bad players will also get dominated just in the same way. They will also get dominated extra hard at max level.

Well I recently was leveling up a new BM hunter (got it fully enchanted with best OP enchants (satyr, munitions, stats, etc.), was only missing STV fishing ring, but i had blue replacement), and of course played some low level random BG/arenas while leveling.

I am not the best pvp player by far, I do it like once a year at max, but with that stacked hunter I was simply destroying people (no matter if it is a druid, a mage, a warrior or something). You just aim, click one button (satyr and munitions proc + kill command), great my enemy is already at 30% hp 40y away with daze, and I can also click pet stun.
Arenas was just free 20% exp every 5mins, the tool-kit of BM and possibility to counter any class is just amazing and when you pair it with OP gear, it’s dummy time. I even solo won one match against 2 warriors, because my teammate decided not to join.

What I want to say - for me it wasn’t fun to demolish people like that, finish BG with 35 kills 1death. I imagine twinks would go twice as hard as I did.
But now I am at ~85 already, the gap is not that big anymore, much more skill is required. I still win like 80% of arenas I play, but it’s not a faceroll anymore. So maybe at 80+ twinks could comeback with some restrictions. But not at low levels for sure.

That is a class issue, not a twink issue, just like how Arcane Mage and Rdruid are super broken at 20-39. BMs and MMs are naturally strong at low level. MM can be twinked to a point where they can literally global you from Camouflage, and you don’t even need to push it super far, you just need to push the consistency of getting crits.

But it’s better to have a non-stacked OP class vs you than a stacked one.

And in theory you can lock mage/druid for ~12s with bm (silence sting to interupt to pet stun), but if Your gear doesn’t do dps numbers and you can’t kill it in that time, then there is a problem
I doubt i could dps down a twink in 12s while having grey/green items + empty slots.
At least at high levels most of the gear is present and tool kits are better.

People don’t have greys anymore, unless you forget to equip gear. You are just overexaggerating so that your argument makes sense. It’s extremely easy to get greens, blues, and even epics. You just gotta play the game. And also, in theory, those two classes have cooldowns of their own. Mage can nova your pet, he can poly you, problem solved. Druid has naturally Strong hots, swiftmend, bark, and a couple CCs of his own.

Yeah except people who have rank12 cloak at least, PvE trinkets and gear, corruptions, and the proper Azerite Gear happen to perform infinitely better than anyone else without those.

Edit: I actually ran a PvP DPS test with a buddy of mine, who recently dinged his fresh 120 retri. During bursting in BGs, I happen to have 19k more DPS than him, and I also happen to survive longer, and have more consistent damage thanks to corruptions, consumables and azerite gear.

a LOT of misinformation and BS in this thread. Lets sort some of it out, shall we?
“Twinks only do it to dominate people” - Not entirely true, but…so what? At max level people gear up to dominate pvp or pve, I don’t see the people here asking for 120’s to be scaled back to the minimum gear levels. Pvp has always - at all levels - been dominated by the people who bothered to get the right gear, chants etc. The main difference is that people who twinked wanted to get off the endless re-grinding of gear every six months, which may give you a clue as to why blizzard spiked them.
“They asked for their own bgs!” - pure BS but ok. Back when we had battlegroups there were a few which could sustain this but not many. In most cases people knew full well that hiving them off would kill it, but the small number that asked (there’s always one) were a convenient excuse for the devs
“They put off new players!” LOL ok. You think those people are going to enjoy bgs at 120 if they can’t cope with lvl 19 imbalance? Why? Please, show me your workings. I mean I played a lot of bgs at low level in the past and I can assure you there were very, very few occasions when people seemed to get offended by it. You are either into pvp or you aren’t, because at some point you are going to get destroyed and if you can’t deal with that, you won’t be coming back. Blaming twinks for the terrible state of pvp is Trumpian in its stupidity.

There are more but I’ll leave it for now. The main reason twinking got spiked is because the current leadership want everything in the game to be done at max level in some form of ‘competitive’ environment. That is what they think the game should be. Twinking is not part of that, so it had to be sidelined. There are a thousand ways you could let xp off players come back in a reasonable way, but it won’t happen for emotional reasons, nothing to do with gameplay.
