Liljon is actually not wrong when he says that the power difference between say, a lv60 Twink and a lv60 non-twink is far far smaller than the power difference between ilv400 and Ilv475 with Corruptions.
You can argue all you want but lv60 Twinks, or any level of twink really, are not the ones globalling people that they are not even targetting with Streaking Stars or Tentacles.
Edit: Even if you exclude Corruptions the stat difference is way too insane between those two item levels as well. That’s not the case with Twinks.
Let’s see. Twinking almost went entirely extinct after they couldn’t slam noobs. Then there are the twinks crying in this very thread that they need to be left back in the leveling battlegrounds so they can grind some of that sweet noob meat. Who the hell do you think you are fooling with this crap?
Cause at 120 pvp is the cap. It’s not a transitory segment of the game it is the end game. If you want to PVP at 120 you’ll need gear. As opposed to wanting to do some PVP while you level where you need some gear. You are not gonna spend time trying to farm some shoulders or gloves so you could “compete” with twinks.
And to make a parenthesis here, if you were to get the respective items and be at the same level with another twink, they will ignore you cause as we know, twinks don’t really want to fight each other. Give me a break.
That is the lie you try to hide behind. Yeah, you can get gear at any level. But why would the majority waste time with that when their purpose is to reach the level cap? Just cause twinks say so? No. Better twinks stay the hell out of leveling battlegrounds. Nobody wants them back.
Because you twinks ruined the “world”. It only runs the way I want it to cause you abused it and forced the developers to intervene.
You want to stop somewhere, twink, to turn the non-endgame into your endgame? You can. In your own battlegrounds. Nobody is stopping you. We just don’t want you in ours. Get that through your skull.
Perhaps. But they don’t fully rely on the fact that most of the players will be undergeared cause at max level, eventually everyone catches up. You twinks rely on noob meat. As you have shown and still are showing you can’t live without that sweet noob meat. So don’t pretend it’s the same. It’s not.
Well I’m not the one begging to be let back into leveling battlegrounds. I don’t have a problem. You do, sitting on the sides, drooling at these low geared noobs having fun in leveling battlegrounds.
You should keep political crap out of these forums.
A small minority? Man I was around when twinks were wrecking the low level battlegorunds. They might have been a minority, but they were not small, they were many. If you had a battleground twink free you were lucky. This is how the BIG TWING LIE started out. When leveling players complained they were saturated with twinks, twinks told them that they should keep their mouths shut cause 1) Twinks own low level battlegrounds. 2) Twinks only want to fight other twinks. And when Blizzard gave you what you wanted you almost vanished. I know, twink. I was around then.
Nobody likes twinks. Not even other twinks.
Typical twink attitude. But I bet you will read it.
That’s because I actually know what Twinks can do.
I was also 10th highest rated warrior in Rbgs worldwide back in Legion for like a month, so I know exactly how power differences at endgame work in high-end PvP as well.
A lot of grandfathered stuff are actually pretty much useless (or way too niche), as power and utility has shifted a lot across expansions. All BiS pieces, at the moment, are very much obtainable right now.
Well at CSGO everyone has same damage and max health, there isn’t cases like one guy has 400hp and his AK-47 hits for 130dmg, while other guy is at 40 health and his ak-47 hits for 7 damage
Twinks support a certain type of gameplay. For them the lower level BGs are an end station.
For normal players those BGs are just a waypoint to leveling up. Thus they will not do all the preparation and gearing that a twink will do and so it’s an unfair advantage. Period. End of discussion. It’s a fact.
And you can’t say ‘well they CAN prepare and gear’; no, they can’t. You cannot force twinking on people who just want to level up. And they have their leveling experience slowed or otherwise negatively impacted by players with another way of playing. So it’s only logical that they get put into BGs with people who also have that mindset and way of playing.
At max level it’s different. People participating in PvP know that there is the possibility that they’ll run into better geared people, but that’s part of the deal. Their intent is, most likely, that they themselves become ‘well geared’ so they can compete on equal footing. So it’s a totally different situation than during the lower brackets.
To be fair, in CSGO, there are no variables such as crit, gear, etc, so it’s not as a good example… But a better example would be LoL. Sure, if you can get lots of items, that will give you a power spike, but fundamentally, you need to be very skilled, and your team has to have good coordination to win, just as much you need skill in WoW to defeat others in PvP.
Despite the fact that it takes 3k gold and 3 minutes to do the preparation (prices depending on your server).
If they don’t want to be destroyed, then they would have to do just a bit of prep. And btw, twinks speed up the levelling process, and both sides have twinks. It’s not one sided.
If someone wants to gear up in BGs at 120, they’re stupid, given that gear is RNG and way too low ilvl. Sure, they can play, I don’t mind, they’re easy HKs, but doing PvE if you want to be a PvPer is a million times better.
Due to the insane influx of experience gain in Shadowlands a leveler will out-level an entire bracket in about 3 or 4 Battlegrounds.
Considering the fact that twinks would queue on both sides there’s not really going to be any insanely unfair advantage that would change the win rates at either alliance or horde.
If anything, Twinks would be helping levelers level up faster by helping them win battlegrounds and by speeding up the queue timers which… is the entire reason lowbies queue for PvP in the first place: To level fast.
By the way… I find it interesting that you consider “preparation” to be “an unfair advantage”.
Remember that this game is an MMORPG, preparation for an activity that you are going to participate in is core to the concept of the game.
Saying that preparing is, well, essentially cheating is ridiculous.
Then sit back, relax and let me boost you which is what I’m doing anyway with Enchanted Heirlooms.
When leveling my MM hunter enchanting my heirlooms was enough to be two-or-three-shotting other players.
Twinks are already there. The difference however is that now I’ll be following you from one bracket to the next.
Again… It’s an MMORPG. Gear difference from player to player is a very normal thing in this genre and trying to eliminate that only hurts the core concept.
That is part of the deal when you participate in PvP in an MMORPG regardless of level.
Obtaining gear and progressing your character is the very core of the entire genre. Complaining and saying that putting in more effort to obtain gear is cheating or unfair is absolutely ludicrous.
Here’s the thing, not everyone wants to just sit back while someone else does the job for them. It’s the same as when someone joins a normal dungeon in bfa geared from nyalotha, some are happy for the boost, others are annoyed because they’ve been rendered irrelevant. Or someone overflowing with the 101 boes in legion.
Personally I find it really boring and irritating when someone swaggers in to solo the place, I queued up for that instance/bg to play it, not have someone else play it for me.
That happens anyway when there’s people in bgs who enchant their heirlooms.
Again something that just happens.
Fair enough but you’ll just have to deal with that.
The second you remove gear differences in PvP the game it’s pretty much ruined, which is backed up by that gigantic failure they tried by equalizing everyones stats in instanced PvP.
Errr no. It’s the normal players who speed up queue timers. Twink queues are dead. The only players who benefit from having twinks mixed with normal players are the twinks.
I don’t. Everyone pretty much loses to me anyway. Most of the twink population is pretty sub-par.
Yeah they’re dead because after Blizzard separated them there were too few players to start their own battlegrounds due to the group finder not putting these players together.
Mhm. Well I don’t anyways, then again, there is no way to prove that all twinks avoid other twinks. What I can speak for however, is that the 59 twinking community, while it was up, there wasn’t anyone who avoided duels. In fact, it was a really fun activity to do while waiting for queues between BGs, or if you haven’t gotten a certain item after 152 runs.
In BGs, being mixed up there with other twinks was also very fun. As we said, our issue is that there aren’t enough twinks to sustain regular BG pops, making it impossible for us to play. The 59 community was nothing more than 10-12 regularly logging on people, with a few other guys who logged in rarely.
You can’t sustain regular BGs with that population.
