It would be lovely to be able to dye certain pieces of armor (hopefully all but I highly doubt it) people would be able to be really creative with their transmogs and I’m pretty sure most RPers would love it.
They can even experiment with it by letting us dye shirts first.
omg yes to this, even if we just get to tint a set part of it - slightly off colour mog pieces are the bane of my WoW existence
Would cause issues though since lots of sets are already just colour swaps
They are at present, but they introduce new sets all the time, would be nice if it is something they look at for the future

Hmm - and not just tier sets. BoE/P gear can also carry the same designs, just different gear such as the Imbued Netherweave Robe (which is blue and gold) and the Scarlet Sin’dorei Robe (which is red and gold) but they both have the exact same designs.
It could save on transmog farming endlessly though.
thats not how the artwork in the game works. they explained it sometime ago.
currently due to some good “painting” of textures u can have a depth and 3d effect without much poligons wich makes the game be able to run on a potatoe
they dont want to change that
hmm I feel like if the original neverwinter nights can do partial colour tinting WoW should possess the faculties to do so
Chris Robinson explained that it ain’t gonna happen because of how they digitally paint textures. Converting it to greyscale and then applying color would lose all that. Not to mention it would make armor pieces monochromatic.
They also aren’t gonna make it so you dye affects certain parts of the armor because it would mean they would have to basicly redo 15 years of armor textures all over again to adapt to this new texturing system.
Then there is a solution they used for that mechatiger mount. You have limited amount of dyes that just change armor texture to other predetermined color. But that’s what you already kind of have with different recolors of certain armors.
So don’t expect armor dyes for any old armor. If they were ever to introduce it they would do special armor designed for that.
The Mechano Saber mount you can choose paints for it, it would be nice if they expanded that to other things.
They can start with shirts for example and then with old pieces of gear, even if they don’t let us customize raid tier or pvp sets, they can let us dye random pieces of gear, that way you can still keep the unique-ness of the full raid/pvp tier set but you still give a massive amount of options to the rest of the items c:
Just add “dye” just like in SWTOR (Dye Modules are modification components that can be used in modifiable armor sets. It can change the colour of the selected piece).
How can lil BioWare make a dye-able armors and Activision/Blizzard cant?
And it would be very fun to look in AH for different dyes. It will make AH alive again too.
Also… some money for Activision 
You can add rare colors in the “Shop”.
