I don’t understand Blizzard’s logic…at all… Making WF and FT imbues then giving us absolutely no choice on how to use them…whats the point? Just keeps them as passives…“it gives flavour” is absolute nonsense, you barely notice them and its just 2 buttons to press every hour…Let me choose double WF for some WF madness or hell let me choose double FT for big meaty Lava Lashes…but nah lets make them boring AF
You could cast WF on your MH then move it to OH and cast it again - it wouldn’t proc on your OH but it did cause your MH to double proc occasionally. Which was awesome. But alas Blizzard felt this was a more pressing issue, than fixing Feral Spirit which 2 weeks ago they admitted was a) weak and b) not working correctly. Or say our surviveability or giving us new PVP talents or fixing mana issues.
Nope in Blizzard’s mind its more important to “fix” WF and Nerf Chain Heal…sigh
I really don’t get the whole “class defining mechanics” that they announced back in the shadowlands reveal event. With shamans it meant totems and for enhancement weapon imbues. I thought that there would have been some difference within your specialization (like with frost dk there is a choice to be dw or 2h), and these imbues would matter what kind of “enhancement shaman” you would be like double WF or WF+ flame tongue (frostbrand weapon imbue not returning so can´t include it to the mix).
In reality we didn´t get any choice or experimentation.And that does bother me. I don´t feel like Blizz held they promise when it came to the shamans.
For me at least shadowlands might be the final expansion that I am willing to try out. I feel like shamans have been in some sort of development limbo for couple of years now. WoD did feel like enhancement was in a good place. You had a good variety with totems, weapons enhancement (not imbues) and we had access to elemental pets. And gosh darn it does it feel sad to think back what enhancement used to be. Why do I even play shaman anymore ?
Anyway I guess time will tell how shaman will fare in upcoming expansion, be it for better or worse I don’t know. But I personally won’t be hanging around much longer. I do feel that 4 years with a spec that seems to not have a clear vision is tiresome as heck, and i’m not willing to spent another 2 just waiting and hoping to get sorted out.
Yes it seems to be that you are able to do old switcheroo with the main hand weapon and the off hand to have both weapons with WF but it seem to be fixed now sadly.
