Hey! So I saw some people talk in chat about their favourite class ability and it got me thinking this could be a fun topic to discuss here as well.
The more I thought about it though the more I realised how many cool abilities are actually in the game. Every time I thought I found the one I’d remember another…
But if I had to pick one right on the spot I’d have to go for Entangling Roots (despite never playing Druid). I love the idea of roots shooting from the ground to grab people and either hold them in place for or drag them into the ground.
( look at this poor sucker )
So I’m curious, what are some your favourite abilities and why? Did you roll your class because of them?
Old version of Swiftmend, back when it was an AoE healing circle where it’d sprout flowers and other things on the ground. It was very unique and looked very pleasing. Shame that the ability and the animation got changed.
Also really like Void explosion for shadow priests, and most DH abilities’ animations
Demonology Warlocks had a beautiful ability called Demonic Leap I believe. You could alter it with a glyph so you became a meteorite if you were in freefall, causing you to land without taking damage. It made for a badass entrance. Metamorphosis (for warlocks) I’d say, but that’s more like a web of abilities rather than just one.
Mind Control and Leap of Faith are both among my favorite abilities of all time and are also still in the game.
Army of the dead on unholy death knight and that flying frost dragon frost death knights have (also known as “the thing which pulls everything in Waycrest manor including things from floor below”). Also when we add traits I love how Blizzard showed some sense of humour adding a tiny frost whelping and their tiny breath. Makes me always feel as if my character is training small whelpings to become scary dragons for battle.
Ever since it was removed a friend of mine always keeps a stack of Avalanche Elixir handy to do just that. It’s less cool than the warlock version but a pretty close second.
