Let's talk interrupts and precog

I agree that Blizzard had to do something because some comps could stop you completely from casting but with introduction of precog current Kick duration is a bit too much. You should be punished for missing your kick but you should also be rewarded for Interrupting. I wouldn’rlt mind Kick duration being reverted. And if you ask me about CC again - the problem isn’t duration but the amount.

The reward is that the kick lands and the cast is interrupted? What do you feel is a better but balanced reward?

Perhaps the reward out of this all will be majority wizards in arenas, pve parsing like dummy targets on each other until random procs deal half health in damage to favour the other. Eventually we can farce out the problematic issue which is healers too, so we can all be drainlifing to heal ourselves.

Precog as just a kick/CC immunity for 4 seconds would be fine

The mini bloodlust is not fine

Said it before said it again
15% main stat and can’t be slowed or rooted

Wonder how quickly casters would be asking for embellishments to no longer work in Arena

Why main stat? Haste benefits casters massively more than melee
lul

With how precog is designed at current, some classes have the potential to close the game off the back of getting precog. Does that seem like healthy design balance?

The haste component is absolutely wild

Let’s take a deeper look
Ranked Solo Shuffle is the most commonly played game mode at current
If 1 player kicks a cast, and the other play goes to kick the same cast, the second kick procs precog
I don’t know if the caster is still locked out but now they are immune to any CC purely down to kicking a cast at the same time as the other dps / healer

Now factor back in, that some classes are able to destroy with precog up because of the haste, and you can’t stop them, only hope to make it to a pillar to hold your cheeks and pray you don’t die before you get there. Again, does that sound healthy?

This is why I said give melee 15% main stat. It’s ridiculous isn’t it?
Can’t be slowed or stopped, they’re just gonna chop you like a Butcher

The quicker these embellishments don’t work in Arena the better

2 sec Wind Shear or 3 sec Pummel is not enough. Precog lasts 4 sec. so I think it a bit not fair especially if you add the fact that Warlocks, Mages, Shamans and Evokers can interrupt into Spell Reflect or Nether Ward to proc precog themselves. I’m caster player myself but I think it benefits classes with good spammable CC like Warlocks and Moonkins too much what we can see in class representation.

At a minimum make it so precog cant be triggered if youre interrupted imo and some kind of icd like 30s.
Although first is just a novoice issue.

Which will always remain in Shuffle
Unless they make voice mandatory
but can you imagine the flame? lol

I meant cases when you play against TSG and even when you juke them they will use tripple DR Stormbolt or Asphyxiate to stop you from casting.

Fully agree with that they shouldn’t be a thing in arena in the first place. Same with tier.

dno man. this is wierd. cuz its not a 1v1 game… i mean when u have a dk and war on u ( for example) as a shadow priest… those 2 toghether have 10 interupts…even with precog… i still get griped… stuned either dk or war, and if i cast… dk has ams… and war has reflect… like … i get it its annoing in 1v1… but when u have 2 melee on u… and u cant get away from them anyway… i dont feel like precog in its curent form its op…even duble war is almost imposible to do anywayh8hnng …

It’s not SP that benefit the most from it but Destru, Boomy and Demo who happen to be most represented casters. Imagine you Wind Shear Fear and 2 sec later he casts it again. Fear and Clone are two crowd controls that received least reduction. Overall precog purpose I believe was that once you juke someone you cannot get Stormbolted a second later. It rewards successful juking but in case of these specs it’s just too much. Spec representation over certain brackets show clearly that there is almost 500 more casters above 2100 than meeles. I think that kick duration has to do something about it.

did u read my post? im not talking about 1v1 situation. but when u got 2 melee on you. and they have 10 ways to interupt your casting, then what? and as i sed. if with precog up. i can still get stuned… moved by certain abilities etc… thats why i sed its not op. cuz u got counter play to it. even dh. if u miss ure interupt u still got 2 stuns, and gues what? u can imprison me to stop casting. so dont complain u got more options to stop casting them me to cast

First of all, Precog:
“If an interrupt is used on you while you are not casting, gain 15% Haste and become immune to crowd control, interrupt, and cast pushback effects for 4 sec.”
So you cant get stunned and all that while having precog up.

Second of all, dont argue with him, he cant think of different scenarios.

Preco must have like 20sec cd. To fill balance

Its the same as interrupts needs to have 20 sec cd aswell if so if you want to talk about balance and this is only through a 1v1 scenario.
The only real change to precog would be like if you get interrupted you cant get precog during that interrupt since thats whats been bothering ppl the most in RSS.
Meaning someone interrupt that destro but someone else also tries to interrupt instantly afterwards → he gains precog. That in my opinion should not happen but question is how they can code so it dont.
And fix so ppl cant interrupt themselves through reflect or w/e and gain precog that way.

Precog’ a bandaid for a bigger problem, is how I see it. They made melee insanely hard to kite, gone are the days where 1 Hunter/Mage could run circles around DK/Warr and spam /lol /rofl when they misuse charge/grip.

Mobility became spamable, casters got more mobility to keep up, Melee got more CC (think stormbolt being added in Cata I think).

Then we entered high dps metas where melee could lock down a target with mobility, CC and Micro CC. This might be the salt speaking but if you ever press a triple DR stormbolt you should pay a heavy price for that and not be rewarded, that shouldn’t be a good play except in very clutch moments, and it certainly shouldn’t be a common way to use the ability.

Now we have precog and the pendulum swings back again. I’m pretty curious what they will give melee in the future to keep up with it.

Precog seems like a lazy solution to a bigger problem, true blizzard indie company fashion though.

Sidenote:

I was playing a Warlock alt last season and found the interaction of Spell Locking into Spellreflect to BL myself and make myself unstoppable hilarious.

You and Draich are basing precog viability on one specialisation
It’s just embarrassing and no matter how many times people try to highlight how it breaks game balance , you don’t listen and still waffle about spriest, which at current is a top tier caster

I’ve already tried to argue this point and gotten nowhere
Just cba with it

near enough said this too word for word lol

Im basing on how it works for SP but also have an understanding for others.
You can only base things on your tiny box and can only argue on the specs its broken.
Big difference in how we can see things clearly.

But yet again, it was fun you targeting my rating and not being able to provide any kind of “proof” of what I said was wrong.
Noone have said SP is bad either, just you trying to force your thoughts on us that we are which is even more funny and actually the reason why I laugh when you write.
