Lets talk Qadarin and Thiernax Ardenweald Lore< SPOILERS>

Goodevening everyone!
i am Rabies the Magnificent, its a pleasure to be here, yes still with bewbs, your obsession with them is odd.

Lets talk Qadarin and Thiernax. The Questline about the two love birds who died for their world.

For those of you who know the questline.( Spoilers spoilers spoilers, if you want to do Ardenweald and you dont want to know this yet, stop reading, dont comment go away, come back later. If you have nothing constructive to add, go away, dont come back)

Thiernax is a former Mightwarrior and the husband of Qadarin.
When his world was invaded he took the power of the Nightwarrior and saved their world. The price for this power was his life,
Seeing how Elune is the Sister of The Winter Queen its kinda obvious how they ended up together in ardenweald.
I dont know if Qadarin also payed the price of the nightwarrior aswell, or if they where reunited later, or if they died together.

Now, here is why i made the topic.
That part, Their world, our world, it suck in my brain, contemplating, thinking about where are they from.

We find out their world is named Fyzandi its a world, a planet, we have never heard about( preciously everyone thought they where nightelves, )
Elune was there/ is there. Elune is looking over more then one world.

What is Elune? What is the future of this, where is this going?
I’ve found it facinating. Now i hear Belular has a video about the topic aswell, i have not seen it yet, i will do so, yet i wish to spark the debate, and perhaps get an insigt of something i may have missed.

So, What are your theories about Elune and this world Fyzandi.
What species where these two gentlemen? Perhaps nightelves thrived on two worlds? or is Fyzandi just another name for Azeroth in their name? What are the monsters they fought against, this dark god?

I am Rabies the Magnificent, thankyou for reading.

Kind Regards
Rabies the Magnificent
Ps, English is not my first language. The post is probably full of grammatical and spelling errors. Please ignore them, dont be that Person.

You forgot Rabies the Magnificent after ps part.

You have to ask in AD for that.

Personally I preferred the edgy gay night elves theory, something about the story reminded me of them cringy slash fanfictions that used to be the vouge and it always made me chuckle.

My guess is Elune is a cosmic tier entity with multiple names and monikers like the Jailer but for “Life” hence why the Winter Queen who represents “Death” calls her sister.
As for the races, they’re likely a nature worshipping race akin to the Night Elves, as the Shadowlands take races from across the cosmos and across time itself.

AD representative here. as for the hooters I think my server has more of an obsession for hiding and concealing bazongas under the pretext of “muh children” these days rather than flaunting them.

Off Topic, but when i see a post by Rabies I always enjoy them

I higly doubt it
Since the stag mentions, their world had a flurishing druidic civilization and an old god landed on them, spreading chaos and madness
More so, he told us, their world is still recovering and not sure the species survive the whole trauma
So yeah, the Fyzandians are not Night Elves and Fyzandi is not Azeroth
Sorry Rabwebs

As I understand it, you talk to them to find out -How- to stop the power of the Night Warrior tearing Tyrande apart, as if she tries to contain it alone it will likely overwhelm her. I -believe- (I’m still working through Ardenweald slowly as my Covenant on ya boi here) that Thiernax and Qadiran shared the burden of being the Night Warrior, thereby neither would be overwhelmed. The relationship between Elune and the Winter Queen is a complex one, but I think yeah, you could make the logical statement that they are siblings in some way, or if even more complex, different facets of the same entity, The Light of the Moon, and the Dark of the Moon.

Fyzandi is 100% a different planet from Azeroth. Those two were not Night Elves in life, and Night Elves are not the only ones Elune cares about. (This actually explains a lot)

Different world, different species, same deity. Its like, I don’t know, us IRL going to Alpha Centauri and these Aliens whatever they look like (assuming we can communicate) going “Yeah, Sargeras man, what a Douche, he totally did a number on our planet” “You guys too huh? We have loads of different names for him, Satan is a pretty popular one!” “Yeah man, we were done for until Odin appeared wielding Gungnir, and then the Dagda Samildanach with his ‘rough and smooth’ staff, and then Jesus rocked up and they duked it all out magically”

“Whooah, this is Alpha Centauri and you know those names?”

“Oh yeah, sure, wait, you know them?”

“Heck yeah, people on our planet kind of worship some of them too, not Jesus, he has a different deal”

“Whoah! This is amazing, Mind blown!”

“I Know right?”

(No idea why First Contact between Humans and people from Alpha Centauri would be exchanged using the Common Linguistics of Californian Valley Girl, but there you go, I don’t make these rules)

Fyzanid is a different world, and they probably have a different understanding of Elune, even if they use the same name for her (Similar to how Draenei Vindicators see the Light differently from the Azeroth native races)

So yeah, chances are pretty certain that it goes:

Same Planet? Nope.
Same Species? Nope.
Same Goddess? Yep.

Would be my take on it.

Elves are aliens. After their homeworld Fyzandi got rekt by an old god, they invaded Azeroth and used the power of the night warrior to subjugate and destroy the indigenous species.

I love open ended stuff like this. I like to think it’s a completely alien race on a distant alien world we’ve never seen. Also the gay thing - they might even be a species that has both genitals. Who the hell knows.

Expanded universe stuff is the best. It leaves the door wide open.

And here I sit, having completely missed the Fyzandi thing, and wonder “For how long have these two been dead that in their time, a man could be a priest of Elune?”. Thanks for pointing this out.

Dwarven lies!
Just because your ancesors were mass produced via the Forge of Wills, you are not native either!
And… because… because… Kaldorei means"children of the stars" in their main tongue of Darnassian :eyes:
But thats true, it was confirmed in the Darkest Night quest, long ago, the Night Warrior was used by the night elves to carve out their empire… :eyes:
After evolving from Dark Trolls but before the rise of Azshara… strange tho’, the only meaningfull ‘empire’ that was around in those times were the Troll, and they usually not shy about their enemies (Aquir, each other, T’halxxi, etc), yet we not heard so far the Troll side of the story about a Night Warrior
“Remember that guy/gal? Baaad mojo mon… really bad! We were kicked in the butt so hard by him/her, we :poop: boots for years”

I honestly did not think so, however i did ask the question, maby its the same.
The reason is that most of us just assumed they where nightelves, its obvous they are not.

Well, during the start of our ardenweald campain, when we saved Ysera the winterqueen did call Elune her sisters. ITs true that sister does not always have to mean family relationship. But, with the information we have now, we can assume that is the case.

Well… Thats kinda a tought i have had too. What if they are not gay, but their entire species is just male, or has no gender, or their entire species is like multigendered and has 20 different genetalia.
Alltough the rules in azeroth about the design of inteligent body types is generally the same. All females have bewbs, aliens, or otherwise.

But thats a whole different story, for a whole different time.

I do not recall the Winter Queen ever mentioning her sister by name. It does not necessarily have to be Elune.

It seems a not too far fetch to think that the Winter Queen might be the sister of Elune. But it’s not 100 % sure yet.

Qadarin and Thiernax draw a lot of parallels to what happened on Azeroth, but our story should not end like theirs imo.

Correct, she could easily be referring to Eonar as it was Eonar whom buffed Ysera into an aspect and schooled her in her role, and the WQ refers to Ysera as her “sisters pet”.

This could Eonar or Elune, but given the WQ is part of a Pantheon, similar to Eonar, my bet is on Eonar.

I love how SL expands on stuff beyond Azeroth. Like the bear (Dromand something) in Arden whom tells you about their homeworld where they were a god, and their breath was the sea winds and the stars were their fur, but then the green fires came and killed their world.

All the names of random deities you see when raising pods as well…I hope blizzard does something with this and doesn’t just forget about them. I must have revived 10 or so different deities at this point and don’t recognise any of their names.

Actually, just realised, This, totally this. It is going to be Eonar, when you hit Exalted with the Wild Hunt, you can buy a legendary (I think it is legendary) that directly refers to Eonar by name, so there definitely is a strong connection there. But then, there is always the possibility that Elune, Eonar and the Winter Queen are triple Deities akin to the Morrigan from Celtic legend, Maiden, Mother and Crone, of Nemhain, Macha and Babd rather…Which actually…kind of works in a horrible way by that religion, which is what Ardenweald is based on anyway…Spooky…

My bet is Elune is nothing to do with it. Expansion of her lore shows she is reckoned a goddess in more than one world. She’s clearly a proper god, or primordial being. They’re saving confirmation of this until later.

I think Elune was the first being to appear when light and void touched which is why she has benevolent and violent aspects. Naaru and stuff came later when the light and void rebounded and formed pockets. So she is the cosmologys “OG god” but her contradictory nature is what keeps her from keep messing with everything, so she instead maintains balance instead, promoting light where it lacks and the same for void.

So in my headcanon, the Fyzandians prayed to Elune, but she’s the one who sent the void creatures after them (or at least directed their attention to it through the void) for reasons pertaining to cosmic balance. It’s also why it’s that this point she made the Fyzandians aware of the Night Warrior ritual (in my mind NW is just repackaging of void powers). It didn’t matter whether it was through the old god or invoking her, Fyzandi needed more void and it got it.

Very disappointed none of them were actually useful? I supposed Bwonsamdi or now, a former night warrior will give us some actual answers or offer useful help, but none of that is happening. Ardenweald campaign feels just like being spoonfed a tiny bits of lore around Tyrande without actually learning anything about her in the end

The thing is, Eonar is a Titan. I am not certain, but i do not believe that the rulers of the shadowlands are titans. ? Therefore i find it odd that Eonar could be the sister of The Winterqueen.

That being said. If the winterqueen is a Titan, she could be, i guess.
Unless Eonar, Elune are the same? Or Elune guides Eonar?
