LEVEL 25 p1 way too long

Season of discovery has been a resounding success, and i am enjoying it.

But this phase has gone on for far too long… if this was p2 and level 40 then yes great, theres alot more to do at 40. But 25 for 2 months is way too long. Alot of people now are in the same boat , exalted . close to bis because of the stupid BFD loot table. That brings me onto the BFD loot table, there are far to many items dropping from one boss, 10 plus items when it feels like the same mail set drops every reset.

Moving forward to Gnomer id personally like to see lower loot table per boss, maybe 3 items instead of 2 dropping also… and more love for Shadow / mage / ele / casters in general. They dont have to be topping meters, just make them wanted by raids.

other than that, good job.

Correct, but it will be dead problem in just a few weeks

and if P1 would go another 2 Months it would be ok

I think the current timeline has been fine. 3months or so a phase, as has been pretty standard throughout classic.

I think what happened is that Blizzard thought people would go and try out Ruby Sanctum raid in WOTLK. Funny though, WOTLK dissapoints once again, I don’t know why Blizzard still keeps their hopes high for that expansion, its proven itself for sure that is probably the worst expansion they had, all the hype was because of nostalgia.

Anyways, its not that bad, 2 months is not that much.

Naah man. Ulduar was lit! Greatest times in wow for me. When it was over i quit. And people probably dont want to invest any more time into wrath because it will go to cata therefore die out.

Sod duration is/was perfect. Long enough for casuals (most of the playerbase) to gear up, do rep etc and try out more than one class.
People who whine for too long phases are minmaxers who’s trying to do everything as fast as possible and then run out of things to do.
While im not against that playstyle, you have to understand that most people play the game much more relaxed.

In the end its ok to finish all the grinds fast and turn off the game for a little.
Maybe try the endless grind of retail if thats your cup if tea

I think the real issue was the awful loot tables in BFD. 3 id/ week creates some fatigue as well when loot is nowhete to be seen.
P1 should have been finished 1 month ago imo.

No /10chars/

Nah, the problem is players.

Players from retail who only wants to get to the end game and have bis gear before anyone else and doesn’t care about the journey.

Players who are used to buying their way to the top through various ingame shops in todays crapy standard of games.

Players who have forgot how it felt to actually enjoy a game, the whole game from start to finish and everything between.

These are the reasons why Phase 1 “feels” too long.

I wouldn’t call that a problem, the player base has just changed and with it the expectations
There are the old nerds who still know the game from its origins and the retail people
You can make adjustments in the game, as is now happening in SOD, but the basic principles in classic are what they are
Maybe some people just need to understand that classic and retail are different

The same people who already prepared P2 with a thousand items in the bank to rush professions in 2 hours, already done theirs paths to xp very fast and then with 1 day of gaming be max in every aspects of the game.
Then they gonna spend two month complaingning about emptyness…

But thats mostly the Classic Community from what i have Seen since 2019. They are the ones only caring for sweat and bis gear. Not retail Players

well its been this long because they are making the content along the way. either this or season of discovery would have launched next summer rather than last fall.

I agree. I’m rather casual, I don’t play the most, but not the least either. I got 2 classes on max, both have tried BFD, 1 has almost all BiS, both are revered with sentinels and got sergant for the discount bonus, and done some other quest at 25 for gold. Also have 2 char at lvl 22 and 21 that I plan on getting to 25. But since this is what I plan to do and not more, I don’t have to play every single day. Some days I play another game instead or go out and get some fresh air, or hang out with friends and family. If this phase lasted 1 month only I would be stressed frustrated, feel rushed and would enjoy it a lot less than I am. In addition I would burn out on the game early in phase 2. I think that goes for a lot of gamers.

so players are faulty just because we dont have enough content ? wtf i’m myself got 7/7 with multiple alts maxed professions and got 4 alts what are you expecting me to have millions of kids trillions of wives work for 24h and only play game for 5 second ? imagine crying about people min maxing the game they love lmao

Think it’s great

Casuals like myself can get 1 maybe 2 toons to play with, work on professions for a change and take your sweet time, decide to switch toon etc

And hardcore can if they want max out all the classes ready to pick anything on release of p2

Only people it doesn’t synergise with is the hardcore crowd that has just 1 maybe 2 mains and plays non stop, but then you still have era, hardcore, wotlk and retail so take your pick

For me at least it feels perfect, no pressure. Do think they gotta work on the PVP sides of things to have something to do after the grind is done

P2 probably should be a week or two earlier, it has been a little stale for the last 2-3 weeks.
