Looks like some loophole here, everyone I look up is a level 50 boosted character advertising boosts in group finder.
Would be good to close it.

Blizzard:
As of today, we will now prohibit organizations who offer boosting, matchmaking, escrow, or other non-traditional services, including those offered for gold. World of Warcraft accounts found to be in violation of this policy are subject to account actions.
Reality:
All form of boost advertising should be banned.
If you want boost, find their websites / discords.
This is sooo ********* annoying! I just want to search a HC Jailer kill and everytime I filter it’s a full window of this
Trade chat turned into boost advertising once again. First couple of weeks Blizzard announced advertising will lead to account closure it was fine but now it’s back to spamming again.
It’s like they make a new rule but don’t actually force people to follow it.
They can’t, because boosters bring them income… Ppl go around buying tokens on a weekly base to buy boosts for all the million reasons ppl want to get boosted… Every MMO I played recently has some sort of ruined economy because of these boosters.
I can’t remember if this was a problem in TBC/WOTLK days of WoW…
Try filtering for groups with >1 member (requires an addon, I think).
Not really a solution to the problem, but atleast a workaround.
It wasn’t a thing up to Cataclysm afaik. In Pandaria people would boost for challenge mode dungeons, I think it was 20k for a gold completion. If you complete all dungeons in gold, you would get a transmog set for your class and there were no other way getting that set. Now instead of this we have curve or cutting edge achievements we can only get in a specific time. I think most of the people are paying boosters just to get that achievements. Back in cataclysm there were no timed achievements for raids or dungeons, so if you miss them then you could do it after and there were no need for boosters.
Organizations is the key word, guilds and so on can still freely boost people.
My guild back in Vanilla boosted people in MC and Onyxias lair… it was easy to find hunters and priests so they could get the items for their epic guest lines…
It might be done more now, but boosting has always been a thing.
Blizzard specifically banned group finder boosting though. And these guys aren’t guild groups in the group finder anyway.
Has been banned for years, never been allowed - not even before Terms change.
