Level 70 players ruining the low level areas

there is ALOT of level 70 players just going to low level areas and killing everything , which makes the questing experience sufferable and irritating, just few minutes ago , me and a group of random same levels “15-20” going to kill an elite for quest and we grouped up , and there goes a mage before us , kills everything ,including the elite and runs off … something needs to be done about this behavior !

Nothing much you can do about it tbh, but I have experienced this a bit as well xD.
Especially in Duskwood.

Which realm are you on ?

The funniest part is that we are speaking about adults here, some in their 30s or 40s even.

I have no idea on where is the fun of that but, for sure, it is part of the game… u can’t do much about it

People who gank are kids.
Rich people have no friends
Good looking people have no character.
Bodybuilder have no brain.

What ever makes you feel better.
Fun does not have an age limit by the way

Explain to us, what is fun about pressing one button at level 70 and ruining some 20 level player’s quest? Are you talking about sadism?

There are quite many in WoW whose idea of fun is simply ruining someone else’s day. Whether they are corpse camping 5v1 or killing levelers who have absolutely no chance of defending themselves. I mean are you so bad at this game that you have zero chance of winning a fair match up?

Actually this is one of the few cases where someone can be reported. So do it ingame.

This is why I always make sure to ask in general chat before killing any mob in any zone. Would hate to get reported and bannd for killing a mob somebody else was intending to kill.

JFC really?! This is a thing?! :joy:

EDIT: OK just woke up and read it again. Sarcasm. Gotcha. Phew.

I experienced this in Hillsbrad Foothills in Durnholde Keep. But the 70s invited me to be able to finish my quest. Turned out they were farming reputation.

Maybe the 70s in your area were farming cloth for tailoring (a bis profession for most casters and even some melees in wotlk)? They could have been kind and leave at least the quest elite alive, but honestly, sometimes you just run around and kill everything for fast farming and don’t even notice you killed something important.

Don’t judge before investigating.

I guess a lot of people doing low level quests for ORG/Storwind rep as there’s going to be 1k discount for epic flying comes pre-patch.

There’s a future achievement called Loremaster , so yeah you will see a lot of high level people questing in low level zones . So you better think twice before reporting someone who did nothing wrong . Not saying that “stealing quest mobs” is ok , the mage could have asked if you need help and/or ask for an invite . But it is what it is

This. I am doing quests for Loremaster now, and yea, people keep asking me why I am killing mobs in low level zones.

As for the OP, Mate, most times i’d group with lobies around for the general “kill x mobs” quests because there’s no harm for me in grouping with others, but half the quests are “gather x things from mobs named y” and those have non sharable objectives. One item drops for whole party. And for those, I will surely kill the mobs alone. Blame Blizzard for the design.

Maybe some of them are grinding out loremaster?

It was always a thing.
Now it’s lowlevel zones because leveling buff is a thing.
Later in WotLK it will be Honor Hold massacre.
Some things never changes.

They might just be preparing for the prepatch. Do all quest and get all exalted. If the same player hangs around in any low lvl zone for more than 2 hours though, they are probably grieving, if it’s less that are most likely doing the quests, just like you.
