So, I just used my level 80 Boost from preordering Midnight. I made a whole new Warlock for it, a Blood Elf. Chose my specialization, yada yada, clicked confirm.
I come back to an Undead Warlock I made ages ago at level 80, my Blood Elf at Level 1.
Now of course I am a bit panicky - I do not want the Boost on the Undead, I made the Blood Elf specifically for this Boost, from within the Boost Window.
I already wrote a ticket, but we all know how it is with that right now. Anything else I could do to get this fixed, if the ticket fails?
So assuming you did boost the correct toon (The Blood Elf) then it’s bugged and just didn’t do anything. Do not delete the suspected boosted toon. Attempt to logon it, or maybe later.
Also please post in the above thread.
In the off case that you did boost the wrong toon by yourself, in very rare circumstances Support may grant an exception. This is not guaranteed however.
Well, it did do something. It boosted an Undead I had sitting around. I am not touching either character, for the time being, but I am still extremely worried.
This happened to me, clicked the boost button which took me to character creation, created a gnome priest, expecting it to be boosted however once character creation was completed it boosted an old dwarf priest I made a while ago and left the gnome at level 1.
From reading other forum posts including blue post replies, they seem to be focusing on the missing renown and currencies bug and I fear our issue will be ignored…
