So what if, at the end of this expansion we all magically die.
Then we get re-awakened, but we lose everything.
We start from level 1 again, and when creating a new character we can choose to play ‘old wow’ or play the new story and start from there.

So old wow is 1-120 also for new players and this
basically gives the opportunity to start something fresh.

That would be my idea of hell.

I have put so much time into my main building up everything on her. My collections of everything from transmog, to pets, to mounts, to achievements.

First of all, no.
Second, there would be alot of players raging and demanding for their characters back.

If they ported us into a new version but kept everything, so as to update the engine or something behind the game I wouldn’t be so adverse. But I have worked long and hard for everything I’ve achieved.

There would need to be a valid reason for the move though imo :slight_smile:

I agree… I wouldn’t be up for losing stuff… guess people can have the fresh start with Classic.

Obviously let us keep our achievements, mounts, toys, pets and whatever.
My point is just coming from a lore based perspective.

Aka, new exp arives > we all die and instead of being level 120 aiming for 130. we are now level 0 and aim for a different number if they come up with a cool talent system.

I’m deff not up for classic, some of us just want to move forward and don’t like to go back in time and do the same bleep again.

that would be weird lore wise because there would be 2 alter versions of your character, or in 2 different dimensions. heck no.

but you keep your character, it just says level 0 in a new expansion.
you keep everything from what defines your character

Yeah it wasn’t my idea tbh, so not something I’d ever considered.

I don’t think having two versions of your character would be sensible.

I’m just mostly directing this at there is so much stuff going around for the level squish.
They could just awknowledge the gap from 1-120 right now is too big, something happens to all the 120 current players at the end of this expansion, and really start from zero again but just keep everything that defines our character.
But just lore wise we’re level 1.

Someone else mentioned, it’s just a number.

I think they should have stopped levelling at 100 and then think about some kind of paragon system.

I stopped bothering with the neck in season 1 myself. I can’t be a slave to that kind of grind.

I don’t mind reps so much though if there is something I really want at the end, but even that is wearing thin with stupid price tags on mounts on top of rep :frowning:

idk i find the HOA way less annoying in terms of AP grind then the artifact weps from legion.

Rep grind is something that grinds my gears, grind WQ’s just to unlock the next story part seems weird to me.
