Leveling, concentration, and danger in world:

Can we have old way of leveling, when you had to think few steps in future about how to pull mobs so you don’t pull 2-3 nearby mobs,
when you had to eat after every 2 mobs because 3rd would kill you if you didn’t, or when 2levels higher mob would almost kill you,
can it be done with scaling and with current combat, is it that hard, that you don’t want to try, or it is impossible because we are strong now.
It really had that vibe of danger when I leveled in vanilla and that vibe gave me adventure like feeling every time I was in open world.
Do we really have to speed run everything and focus on clearing boring repetitive content for another 2 years, or we can take it easy.
I see other games are not doing what wow is doing and it makes me wonder why they keep designing game as it is.
I am not looking for ultra hard mechanics that are more boring rather then fun because you have to move every 2 seconds so you don’t get hit by something,
I would rather want relaxing gameplay that makes sure you have to be concentrated, because as it is in new wow, from cata till now, you don’t have to be concentrated at all, and you can rush things or just play game feeling numb.

Go play classic and you get what you’re looking for?

Why would I play something that I already played, I did play vanilla tho because I didn’t play it originally…
I would rather wait for Pantheon: The rise of a Fallen game that is pure RPG content, oldschool everquest 1999 like game…

Why would my character who’s been through so much at this point suddenly start struggling with random “trash” in the open world.

That said, zones or danger areas specifically designed with this in mind and mobs that are hard where it makes sense sure I’m all for it. But for random questing no thanks.

don’t even try to pull realism in fantasy world thing now… because logic is dead in world of warcraft.
same I could ask you, why would you catch a fish every time? - cuz in classic u couldnt.
Why would you aoe loot 50 mobs,
Why would you have shared skinning, so on and so on…

do you know why this is only mmo game where people go mad when someone makes a mistake? you don’t so as Nagrash, so please you might consider again what you are talking to me, as calling me as stupid as a brick wall.

Vanilla leveling is not hard, but at least it took little bit of attention while you were leveling, you see, today you can go through 10 mobs in one cave and not make a mistake, but in vanilla it was always special adventure when you are going into cave, or when you are pulling mobs in a camp, it took little attention while it was cozy and relaxing.

It’s 7 threads today actually. Not sure if that’s his record though.

you guys do same thing but for convenience, just game is made as you wish it to be so you are not posting anymore, yet you see thread here and there about convenience agaim, because guess what? you are all the same as me.

Danger, in the open world? Is this something that I am too paladin to understand?

Maybe, but lets be serious, you could not kill mob 3 levels higher then you in vanilla, at least as some classes, or pull 3-4 mobs and kill them, that was not possible, so you always had to be full on aware as what move you will pull next, and that is why it was good design, it also teaches players patience, It was never a problem to rush things in vanilla, while it is now because you got that opportunity and some people are willing to take that opportunity and rush, therefore they get stuck in that mental regression.
