So I’m leveling an alt and the dungeons basically consist of auto-run and pull everything. I just did Wailing Caverns in around 15 minutes, we didn’t even stop once. Things die so fast that you often don’t even get a chance to hit them. This is mind-numbing content. It’s also a waste because the dungeons have been mechanically updated and look great but you can’t enjoy it because you just face-roll it. I feel like it would be much more engaging if the leveling dungeons were massively buffed so that CC and mechanics actually matter, but also increase the XP so it’s the same XP/hour.
Or dont do dungeon when leveling at all. Dungeon is so boring to the end, especially during levelling, and questing gives way more xp per hour while you are going through story and travelling and doing different types of quests instead of smashing buttons and killing stuff for hours in dungeon. People really should stop doing dungeons to lvl. Maybe do it to gear up in max lvl if you want idk.
I know the leveling dungeons are boring, that’s why I’m suggesting they actually add some challenge. Right now I can’t even tell when we’re fighting a boss most of the time because everything dies within seconds.
Hi, I’m wearing full looms so I’m basically doing content in stuff better than epic gear.
Why does it seem easy?
I died on my warlock today in Maraudon, I by accident pulled Hydra and the tank got 2 packs on him… one normal and a patrol.
It doesn’t happen very often but we still have to remember leveling is a place to learn and there are plenty of players that are new to the game.
Also in classic dungeons they often become harder the higher level range they used to be.
In my opinion the best way to learn the class is to mix pvp and pve, in pve the rotations is learned and in pvp we have to learn how to defend ourselfs and adapt to the situations.
FYI Heirlooms have for a fair while been nerfed to be even less stats than a blue rare item…
Go join classic then OP
After nerf of looms - regular gear have better or same stats as looms.
One thing to remember is that early dungeons are the learning grounds for new players too. I’ve done a lot of levelling recently and you do occasionally come across someone brand new without heirlooms. The dungeon does then become more difficult.
I don’t know anyone who wants to spend longer in old dungeons, the people I play with all just want to get to cap the sooner the better. So I guess you’d fall into the exception category.
This. The EXP buff just makes it worthwhile to be doing them outside of just the dungeon quests inside at the moment. Even then, sometimes i wish bosses would just die already.
