ohh man dunno if this is the right category forum to discuss this or not but uffffff i’m tired…
blizz needs to clean the game ALOT better because of the level squish, i believe and its just my opinion it was a mistake to cram the entirety of so many expansions into 60 levels.
You didn’t sort all of the itemization from those expansions, i’m in front of the npc that sells the corrupted gear Aneka Melae and i’m lvl 42 and the interface of the npc appears to me as i can buy all the items as long as i have the currency, they are not redout or grayed out meaning i can buy them but i cant its only at level 50, and if i go check the npcs that sell even older pvp items they are redout cant buy them so whats the deal i cant figure it out.
At lvl 30, 31 i can buy 41 ilvl gear from Rugok legacy gear and it surpasses the heroic gear equivalent that is higher level requirement, its a all out mess this game.
I strongly believe you could have done things differently with a little imagination like a “tier level” system, where when you reached a certain ceiling level or max level whatever you want to call it, you would become a tier 1 level 1 and then reaching another ceiling go tier 2 level 1 and so on, stats after that would grow in a different %, a player would reach level 30 for example and upon reaching the end of that level would become tier 1 “level” 1, and passing to level 2 would need 20% more experience then before tier 1, and stats would only grow a in different %s then before tier 1…
I digress i cant even put so much thoughts in this thread im so tired end of the day of work.
So hard to cram 8 expansions to 60 levels and maintain a good balance in level ranges and players able to understand them, i still have to resort to Wikipedia to check whats the level range of the expansions, and items are surely even more crammed up with ilvls in this mess.
I like alt’ing and all i do is spam BfA dungeons from level 11 to 48 and in between i also do some bg’s, upon level 48 i can start doing the SL starting quests and in level 50 i either make the 87 ilvl gear if i have the profession for it or simply buy it, and its always the same i reach level 50 around 40 ilvl gear and in reality i should be reaching around 80 if it was a proper leveling experience, but to be honest its not its a mess for me…
Scaling is so bad when a really varied range of level players can match up, in dungeons or in bg’s, specially if there is a max level entering in that instance, i mean why in the hell can you queue in low level bracket’s in bg’s as max player, they can destroy an entire team because its not properly scaling.
Leveling in current state of the game ain’t fun and its a bad experience, at least for me it is… kk wall text is over gg lok’tar ogar my friends
I read the first couple of sentences and got tired. The leveling hasn’t mattered in years except for the current expansion leveling. At least with chromie time it’s slightly better than before now though (I damn that gnome).
Personally the only bad thing about leveling for me is that I only have 50 character slots. I want to do more leveling with my friends but I do not want to delete a 50+ char. Oh and the heirloom change was terrible. Other than that current leveling is pretty amazing.
In Sl we have threads or storyline both are boring to do we have no real choice of zone were to start if we pick story mode and you open up dungeons one at a time .
Also with threads you spam the same 4 dungeons from 50-60 and side quests with very little XP.
Scaleing in chromie time is very bad in WoD and some area’s of MoP .
We should never have been squished instead we needed a total revamp of the scaling system.
Leveling in the old zones is ok, you can always go through WOD and hit level 50 then move to SL. The issue is SL leveling. While you have threads of fate and/or the main storyline, its just exhausting to reach 60 on yet another alt, plus redo the Maw campaign, the covenant questslines, grind for soul ash, and anima.
I know that we are able to skip the intro Maw questline in 9.1 or 9.2, I forget which, but something needs to be done about the anima and soul ash grind for alts.
I completely agree with you if what you’re saying, or meaning, is this;
item level of items from quest rewards and vendors should be level scaled, like they are from dungeon bosses.
item levels need to flow smoother into the shadowlands expansion, so you should reach level 50 meeting the dungeon requirements. No matter which expansion you’ve decided to level 1-50 through. They could basically do, +2 item level per level. So level 1, gear would be 2 ilvl. Level 50 rewards would be 100 ilvl. Then you could join dungeons because, you wouldn’t have 100ilvl straight away, but by the time you get to level 50 you would have an average of around 90. Then from 50-59 it should add +5 ilvl, so you’d reach 60 with around 140-145 ilvl. Then at level 60 it starts with the 158 ilvl rewards onwards.
when you queue random dungeons it should mix every possible dungeon into the mix, and prioritise those which you haven’t done where possible. Not just queue you for the BFA bore fest dungeons.
and totally agree about the level 60, full gear, full conduit, full renown, legendary players, being able to queue lower level BGs. Not sure if this is the case already, but conduits, renown, legendaries and PvP trinkets should be disabled if they queue with low level friends. Also, depending on what bracket they end up in, they should lose the higher level spells.
is this done on purpose or by really to make players hate all past expansions?
this game has so many visually attractive dungeons, why are you showing down our throats a dungeon that most people skip 3 out of 4 bosses and always rage on unaware beginners that have no concept of skip or don’t know the route how to not pull?
Why are we forced into interrupt-intense dungeon bosses while tank (Paladin) gets interrupt on level 27?
So very true. I miss queuing all the classic dungeons, into tbc, into wotlk, into cata, etc. It was great! You always seemed to get a different dungeon. Very rarely did you queue the same one twice. But now its just trash, utter trash.
Monk tanking at level 10 is the life. Spam SCK. Best DPS, total aggro and despite not having stagger or brews, you don’t die so long as your healer isn’t an idiot.
Then you level up, get brews, get stagger, and you’re having to kite bosses to tank them at level 48.
