Does anyone else feel utterly bored by how leveling is currently done?
It’s so freaking easy that it brings 0 joy. It’s like a walking simulator to 60 because you can just one shot everything without any threat.
And then it’s way too fast. I’d welcome if there was more emphasis on the leveling stage and it wasn’t just a blast-thru-fast kinda thingy. Otherwise it really makes the whole world one big lobby waiting for DF or a raid.
to me lvling in cata/mop was the best experience i think. It was “longer” you could use “proper” heirlooms and go through dungeons from frist to last expac. - not rly a fan of chromie time idk.
What i hate about chromie time when lvling in dungeons, is that you cant mix all expansions together and just be thrown in whatever dungeon they need you. No you have to waaaait and THEN be placed in random dungeon after few extra minutes of queue. Thats dumb dumb.
I’d love if they made it that when you pick a Chromie timeline, you have to complete it’s campaign in order to go to the current expansion.
Problem with the way it currently is is that it is chaotic for new players, say they enjoy the leveling experience then they hit a certain level [60] and then the zones they were leveling in suddenly drop 5 levels and it’s all one shot from them and they are forced to do the latest expansion without fully exploring all these beautifuly crafted zones because if there is something WoW does good, it’s the zone design.
For me they have absolutely no concurency when it comes to MMO and the graphics handled in them. It’s such a shame that new players won’t experience how the world in WoW can feel and they are just thrown straight into the grindfest.
This pretty much. The current pace of leveling, regardless of approach be it questing or dungeons, is so ridiculously quick that it renders Chromie time completely pointless as you only experience a very tiny fraction of it at best. Chromie time could have been an incredible opportunity to allow slower leveling for those who desire it, including myself, but alas, another failed, discardable feature because all Blizzard cares is the endgame while the rest of the world is utterly ignored…
Exactly, the XP freezing just doesn’t give the same feeling as if you are slowly leveling, exploring and enjoying the actual leveling and content not just rushing to 60 fast. It’s a big shame these zones are just a part of the past and are basically useless…
Feels more like a chore rather than fun.
this is the kinda game that heavily revolved around the end game content, leveling doesnt need to be a long time slog, i much prefer just being able to get it done and out of the way so that i can start focusing on the gameplay thats actually kinda important
