Well, I’m just going through leveling and exploring new chars and have just finished the main dragonflight zones’ leveling story campaign. I was somewhere around 35 lvl or so and hoped for continuing the story afterwards until I realized that in order to proceed I need to be lvl 70 ., only then other dragonflight campaigns open to me. Why is this limit still here? I mean wouldnt it make sense to allow players to experience the whole story of the previous expansion before heading to a new one? Now they can do just part of it and then either choose a completely different chromie campaign or do dungeons/side quests. Not a very coherent experience for new players. Or am I missing something? I don’t know, I was just disappointed by that.
Simply because the raids, dungeons, questlines etc. were tuned for the then current max level, which was 70. Scaling all of that would take a lot of work and resources. I agree that it’s probably not ideal for new players for example, but it is what it is.
Hmm I find it very disrupting and do not see where that new revamped levelling experience should be. However, even other zones and dungeons had to be scaled down, why not e.g. emerald dream … these zones are then effectively dead I believe.
