I love leveling. As soon as I hit 60 I started another alt. Already got 6 I have noticed that it’s longer to get a group now everyone is boosting though which is a massive shame. Some of the lower level dungeons are so much fun.
Battle for Azeroth sounds just up your street.
All the raiding you could possibly want, instant levelling - that you can just buy your way past for real cash.
So go forth and play Battle For Azeroth. You won’t regret it.
Classic isn’t for you.
A hunter. Complaining about slow levelling. Now I’ve seen everything
You don’t need to quest m8, at your level you have the whole Barrens with beasts before you. You did take skinning/leatherworking as you should do as hunter right? Barrens beasts will get you to ~24 and ~200 skinning, leatherworking from this should solve your money troubles, then you have furbolgs → satyrs in this area - was it Eversong? - forest near the Durotar area to level ~32. Satyrs drop an average of 1 silver each btw. Being a hunter you can hold 2 mobs +2 to your level at a time and chainpull until oom. Yes, this is faster then questing. Requires a specific set of mind though.
This is one of those situations where the best response is unironically “play retail instead.”
Just sounds like Classic isn’t for you, and retail genuinely has what you’re looking for.
48 now, on my third 60
Then don’t play the game?
It’s not a difficult equation.
leveling by quests is the most enjoyable thing about classic!
Leveling is probably the best part of vanilla, im not sure why you would even play if you dont enjoy the leveling?
Man classic players are toxic, now that’s ‘ironic’
No they are not toxic.
You’ve come onto the forums complaining you dont enjoy the levelling where the majority of the game is the levelling.
If you dont enjoy the majority of the game then do leave as there is no point in you playing a game you clearly dont enjoy.
I agree, Retail is up your street. You can purchase a boost to skip levelling and get to the “good stuff”
You can pull the wool over your own eyes if you want but the proof is in this post. Guess you missed it…
I made a observation and pointed out a disappointing problem with dungeons for new classic players in seeking helpful advice and opinions, but as shown ‘most’ (like yours) comments are just childish and ignorant. Thanks for further painting the player-base in a bad light.
Saying “go to retail” doesn’t make you part of the ‘cool kids’
People haven’t given up on dungeons if thats what you want to know, you just need to put the effort in
The majority of players on this forum are toxic, especially if you don’t like a part of the game XD.
I gave up leveling my alt, since all the dungeons that’s on-going is just boosting dungeons xD.
Just ignore, its a badly disguised retail baby whine post.
Leveling a new toon now is insanely fun on my server (Firemaw). We still have alot of lowbies and alts leveling up.
I can highly recommend it if this is what you seek. Even stv is warzone and it’s amazing!
There really isnt much endgame atm though.
I remember wiping in BWL, practising hours and hours till everybody got it right. In general we had 1 extra boss down a week, and Nef took longer. It took the guild 9 weeks to clear BWL, raiding 18h a week.
I somehow miss that. All the wiping. Going in there and having no idea what a Boss does. We were stacking 5 of each class, unsure what nerfs or buffs would come to each of them.
Thats all the distant past. Now its minmaxing and speedruns. Somehow that doesnt feel like REAL endgame content (but in the light of BFA ill take it anyway)
Why? Believe me, it’s quite boring too.
just buy a level boost
MC/BWL 2 hours / week?
You talk about Dungeons like they will save you from the whole “leveling is boring” thing. Dungeons are the ultimate loss of time and experience (the core factors of your thread). It can take hours to find a group, get to the Dungeon and get throught the Dungeon - Nothing new for Classic. Still, the reward is at best a couple of quests and some mediocre XP. This wouldnt have been the solution to your problem.
To me it seems that you don’t really want to play the game, nor do you enjoy it, yet somehow you feel the need to play (dreaming about a “end game” that doesn’t exist but most likely is wasted time on the bank roof).
Solve whatever you are running away from by playing Classic, because the problem and the solution isnt Classic. Saying this in the most encouraging way possible =)
