As someone that played during the original cata, i remember how much i enjoyed the world revamp, the quests were fun and interactive and hubs were everywhere around, the only problem was that we outlevelled the zones too fast, a problem that got fixed many years later during retail.
I can’t find a reason why this shouldn’t get implemented on classic cataclysm, sure it’s a change but it’s a good change that promotes experiencing the biggest feature of this expansion.
Does anyone feel like going back to Outland or Northrend is better than levelling on the revamped azeroth?
They are same as ICC ones, gathered in hub like mini clusters. If you want to finish whole zone you need to do em cluster by cluster. No more half world journeys of Vanilla zone that send you to the end of the world just to turn in 1 quest. Well this approach worked in 2005, but not in 2010/2024, so I guess it is not so bad. Besides I haven’t done Cata quests for years now, feel a bit nostalgic about them
Cata was the expansion I had my first max level character. My friend who started playing in DF wants to try cata but i still have PTSD with the under water zone (not attempting to spell it)
I used to meme on the excessive pop culture references back in the days aswell. Perhaps it’s a matter of age, because now in my 30s I actually don’t mind them, tbh I find them amusing and fun. Granted, I have only been playing the Cata quests for a week now, but I enjoy them more this time around than when doing them as an edgy teenager where everything had to be deadly serious about war, orcs and dragons.
