Since the prepatch Im totally confused as to how LFD is supposed to work.
I just want to do some of the vanilla dungeons and yet my new characters seem to be stuck with just 1 or 2 BFA dungeons instead. Entering and exiting Chromie time doesnt seem to do anything (even an alt who is doing Legion only has access to BFA dungeons!).
So how do I get different dungeons? Is there a second Inception style preprepatch Chromie somewhere with the old dungeons??
Did they forget to add LFD to Chromie time?
a lot of thing about this pre-patch are poorly explained for new players… it’s like they only worked on the new 1 - 10 levels and then gave up completely.
if you choose to level outside of exiles reach as a new player you do not get a quest saying talk to chromie… so a lot of new player will jump straight into BFA from level 10 completely clueless to how to play …
EDIT: a simple fix for this is position chromie in a area which is easier to reach.
I.e outside the orgrimmar main hubs…
and have her highlighted like a firework so she cannot be missed.
you have access to chromie time once you have a character at level 50, previously level 120.
if you talk to chromie, you can choose the expansion you like. classic dungeons are grouped up together with cataclysm. so, like Finnbarr already stated, you can then choose between cataclysm and classic dungeons in your dungeonfinder.
if you havent gotten a level 50 characters yet, you have no other choice but to level through bfa first.
Thanks for the responses peeps!
Weirdly the problem seems to have fixed itself! Before, no matter what time period Chromie put me in I just got BFA dungeons. Now things are working properly and I can get in those old dungeons again.
i got a similar issue with my alts, i was lvling in legion time, but the only dungeons i could queue were BfA ones, a couple of time swaps at chromie and i got the correct dungeon list for legion.
