Thought why not go back to my old realm … Argent Dawn / Alliance
Every single day i log in without fail its a toxic fest of people throwing abuse at each other …
Racism, Sexism, Degenerates, Toxicity, No patience, Dungeon kicks
It’s all the time … trade and general chats/dungeons are just full of toxicity
People arguing and flaming each other, constantly putting each other down
I don’t understand why they are even playing, when people hate each other that much.
I’m at a point now that i don’t even want to log in because the atmosphere is just going to leech any decency from every environment.
Are there any decent realms left? Any decent non toxic guilds that actually enjoy the game and have that old skool community feel ?
I find Argent Dawn to be way more friendly than other servers. I played for 3 expansions before moving to Argent Dawn from Silvermoon and Draenor.
Where are you hanging out? Did you join a big conglomerate of a guild where people are just numbers in the machine? Or did you find a smaller, more intimate guild that has time to get to know their members?
Have you considered blocking people who are toxic?
Also, have you filtered certain channels from being seen? I’ve noticed General and Trade in Stormwind and in Donorgal can be rather toxic and even talk about stuff as nasty as American Politics. Just unclick that box and it’s nice and quiet.
I’ve not seen much of this from the community in AD, i must admit. Most people seem very friendly and respectful, keeping IC out of OOC. Unfortunatly, Trade chat and General chat are like that, given the amount of people who don’t really belong to an RP realm deciding to stay there.
If you block those two channels, i’m sure that it won’t feel that bad ^^
As for Guild, what kind are you searching? One to do content sometimes to not go full on with RP? One that focuses on campaigns and adventures led by a DM? Or perhaps just a social one?
Mostly for end game content, something chill and laid back … people who like to push content but in a relaxed atmosphere … but its nice to see a little rp out in the world
But a little of all you just said would be nice.
I came across an event in hallowfall the other day and it made the world feel a little bit more alive like the good ol days
Aha, unfortunatly it is hard to find an guild that does all of the above mentioned… Although, it would be easy to find one for the first and last, while being part at the same time of another one that does RP!
I know many people who do it like this on the realm, and most are chill about it ^^
To add further to what i said above: There’s also communities! You can join an Raiding guild, but socialise and do fun RP with people in different communities! There’s the Dracthyr Conclave one, that is open to more than just Dracthyrs and is filled with splendid people! ^^
I escaped my old servers because they were filled with toxic individuals, and I joined AD early in Dragonflight after many years playing on regular PVE and PVP servers, and it has been the best decision I’ve made personally.
I was met with open arms and welcomed into a nice guild and community, met tons of nice people. I spend a lot of my down time hanging in Goldshire (Not the Inn. We do NOT go inside the inn.) both on my Horde and Alliance characters. I drink way too many Elixir of Tongues… i don’t have a problem!
The only toxicity I’ve experienced myself are non AD server players layered with ours causing drama around, but it is so easy to ignore, while also simply filtering your chats instead of leaving them set to default. I personally never use trade chat and such, cuz I don’t see the point for what I do in the game.
See this annoys me a couple bad people does not make the whole ali or horde trade chat toxic , you get bad people on all realms but to call AD toxic is pretty toxic of you.
