Dual spec wont realy healp by much in shortaget of Tanks, it will improve comfort of game for players now i can have PvE and PvP specc but wont meke people ,want to Tank more
When you join group as Tanks in 95% of situations bu default you are becoming party leader you are expected to know all tactic , all routs , what to pull what to CC and explaing everything to others

Well you are wrong. Old Blizzard and the old dev team was a bunch of guys making cool content (That’s literally what they said). That’s it. They had absolutely no idea how popular the game would be when they released it with that respec cost. There were no big greedy plans behind the decisions. It was just a game that made sense. It do make sense that in a fantasy mmorpg choosing a role have an actual value. It is intended and by design that you don’t change spec nilly willy. Choosing a spec and having a spec is supposed to mean something in this game. That’s why they made it so expensive and annoying to change it. And it’s also an important goldsink.

the whole tank system in WOW is wrong blizz puts to much responsibility in the hands of the tank then i prefer the GW2 system where a lot more is put in the in the whole raid and not just in the hands of the tank and healer.
Fun thing, if they gave us dual spec i’d have 2 tank specs. 1 for aoe grinding dungeons and 1 for tanking. I still wont tank groups with gogogogogo mentality and people that expect me to read minds.
as long as tanking heroics for noobs remains a chore, u will keep seeing that message.
also no, dual spec wont fix it, people growing brains will fix it tho, most good tanks cant bother tanking for random andies that have no clue of how aggro/threat/los pulls or even the specific dungeon works

It true that a tanks expects to lead as he steps the pace but it also helps and imo also needed to know the instance for patrols and all as you can fu easy with wrong puls or do what happend me yesterday pull 3 groups by accident and kill them all with 0 deads was a great group
Ye because TBC is a holy grail where everything is perfect as it is Jeesus. There is a lot of room between dual spec and Retail how it is now. Wotlk with dual spec was the most successful expansion for a reason.
Because they had no clue back then. Stop pretending TBC was and is perfect (look at class balance after all). They added dual spec in Wotlk for a reason after all. So healers and tanks could finally do open world content too without spending 5x more time doing it.
People don´t want to tank because they want to do open world content too. They want to do quests (very boring and slow as a tank), they want to do occasional PvP (impossible as a tank), they want to farm mats etc. (again, very slow and unefficient as a tank). They also want to play BGs which is impossible for a tank because of your zero impact.
I am a tank myself and I will respec immediately at lvl 70 because as a tank everything takes ages.
Well I did level as deep prot and I can tell you that it didnt take that much time really, I even did the unthinkable and quested from 66 to half way through 69, wanna know the secret that made it not take to much time, I got myself some dps gear and smashed through the quests easly.
while leveling you usally dont PvP that much anyways.
Unless you have any dps gear, it might be a bit slower and unefficient but its not the hell you seam to think it is.
If they want to do BGs more than they want to tank then that wouldnt change if they had dual spec, you wont get someone who is going for a bg to come and tank for you instead anyways so the people doing BGs are basicly out of the calculation already.
Get some dps gear and it wont take for ages to do things trust me like I said I leveled to 70 as deep prot and about half the amount of time I spent leveling was dungeons the other half really un optimised questing becouse I wanted a break from dungeons but I could still do it.
I tried that, still very slow if I compare it to fury spec. And very boring to be honest. Sorry, majority of people don´t choose slower and boring path if they don´t need to. Its a game, they want to have fun. Doing content outside of dungeons/raids is a fun killer for majority of potential tanks.
Even people who would normally tank simply don´t do it because of how painful it is outside of dungeons/raids. And they ofc don´t want to pay 50g every time they want to go dungeons.
And thats why there is such a tank shortage.
Its actually strange how limited your potential is as a tank or healer outside of dungeons/raids (and rated PvP for tanks). So unrewarding roles.
