Not really, horde has Windfury and you still bring feral for mangle debuff, the only reason feral would be killed is if the damage dropped off significantly and warrior deep wounds got nerfed into oblivion.
A big % of the players just hate the playstyle. You need to Shepeshift, need to stand behind, got not enough mana to shapeshift or even heal in pvp
Yes this and also talents are frustrating as you need omen of clarity but canât get lotp then. plus runes are a mess and only make playing more annoying

this is what would happen.
you donât get to have personal WF (weapon imbue) or WF aura on top of your current kit, that is a shaman-only thing, and its considered a selfish move when they practice it.
to provide the wf aura you need to give up something important in return - even shamans have to do this (hence selfish if they donât); they have to give up agi totem which in its max rank provides 5% crit, which for the shaman personally, hurts BAD.
the shaman using WF totem gives this up completely, and to sort of add insult to injury he doesnât get to benefit from his wf totem at all, since his personal weapon imbue is superior.
unless they twist, which is currently less-than-ideal since you will need what little mana you have for your actual spells and abilities.
so its all very cute and cuddly, but you know as well as i do that warriors are selfish, they would never compromise their own dps output to provide wf aura.
leave it to the shamans - the ones who are aware that buffing your group > personal output.

it was a travesty to hand this to druids in the first place, and having people now suggest basically giving it to everybody is disrespectful to the ability. you need to appreciate it more, because you are taking it for granted.
let me assure you; this aura is special, it is the best buff in the game. it USED TO BE what defined the shaman class and it should be respected as such.
i knew people would jump at windfury from this angle - especially alliance andies - the second they caved in and gave it to the druid class.

TL;DR in a scenario where a warrior would have to give up battle shout to provide wf aura (which he would benefit from) would be the ideal one, as it directly emulates a shaman having to give up agi totem to provide WF for his group⌠but this would be âunacceptableâ to the warrior playerbase, so ultimately its a ânoâ to such an idea.
Playing on the biggest Alliance server in EU, 3 hours to find 1 Feral this reset and took 2 hours last reset.
This Paladin rework at 60 better give us Wind Fury because Alliance has absolutly 0 Feral players.
Most Druids are resto or boomie right now. Feral is the least played spec in the game currently. A majority of Feral players play Horde for the better PvE and PvP Racials. So we basically have a niche spec that can only give Alliance a mandatory buff and majority of the players who play this Spec are Horde.
I know its hard for Horde players to understand because Shamans have been top tier the entirety of SoD but most Raids for Alliance are delayed for Hours or we have to go with really bad comps because we have 0 Feral players.
I hope Blizzard looks into this because we have been saying since 10 mans this has been a issue and its getting worse as the raid sizes get bigger. Theres no way you could get 4 Ferals for a 40 man ever right now for Alliance.

recruit a feral druid or force one of your boomies/restos to go feral.
when you pull the âferal or no raid spotâ people switch mentality real quick.
sad it has to come to that in your case i suppose. find more corporative people. sounds like youâre playing with a bunch of selfish ppl if nobody can be convinced to go feral out of their own volition.
a guy in my guild straight up offered to go feral just to tank (and weâre a horde raid) so we currently run enh tank and feral tank if we canât get a 2nd warrior tank. so he can play boomie.

Guy is salty alliance has windfury all together and doesnât care about trying to actually fix the problem for the longevity of A SEASONAL game mode but would rather bring it back down to faction BS and âalliance andiesâ hot dog water takes.
Feral IS NOT fun to play for the majority of the players and this guy expects you to be able to just force people you enjoy playing with to play a role that they donât want to play or find fun at all.
Iâm waiting for the dumb shaman comparison but mah totems when the reality is they set it and forget it. They donât have to play a spec they donât like because of it. They can put it down as resto/ele/enhance.
Unless they make some dumb way of resto druid catweaving viable its gonna be a problem.
This game that you pay monthly for, yeah let me try and convince you to play the one activity you enjoy doing but play it in a spec you hate playing. you can do that for me canât you bud, for the raid?
Imagine thinking its a player issue to not want to force people you enjoy playing the game to play something that will eventually make them quit the game.
He will not see the situation for what it is because it is not a problem on horde side, you bring one feral for mangle and the rest is -IF- you want to bring more, alliance are basically required to have 2 for every group and the fact of the matter is there just arenât enough people playing feral druid to make that a thing for every group there is going.
Reality check: People care about playing optimally in 2024, missing 20% damage = less fun.
Spending 2-3 hrs trying to fill a single raid spot for an almost mandatory buff.

I could get DMF buff on a warrior during peak hours in mulgore faster than we could recruit a feral druid sometimes.
Guy is a thinking its a player issue because its not a problem on horde side, when as you said the vast majority of feral players will play horde side for the better PvE and PvP racials, ontop of having a 2nd class that provides windfury to the raid. Yeah its pretty obvious why they do not suffer the same issues on horde side.
Who wouldâve thought the faction that has more feral druids in general that also has access to windfury from a different source doesnât have problems picking up 1 single feral that is required for the raid each week.
Fix the clunkyness of feral and ppl will play it. Having to shapeshift, use catnip, tigers fury, primal roar and berserk is too much.
Thatâs way too many buttons to press before you start doing damage. Iâm surprised they didnât make the head enchant a button to press as well.
And oh, you still need to be standing behind target as well
Then they should have made up just another random button you have to press before being allowed to press all the others I mentioned too.

Or you could just macro any of these that are off-gcd into 1 button that you press on pull. Maintaining roar is as normal for feral as it is for rogue to maintain SND or for any dot class to maintain their debuffs. Only being able to deal real damage from behind however does sound bad. Afaik, top end ferals are also not even using bite but rather spend their energy on more shreds. Thatâs problematic game design if the builder does more damage than the spender. Rogue tanks are in a similiar spot, using mutilate does more damage on average than a 5 CP Eviscerate, unless the eviscerate crits, which is far less likely than for mutilate to crit.

So why you donât play Feral then when you wanne tell people how they need to play?
I can play any spec in classic at high level. Not much to it. Pop your swiftie macro, maintain your buffs / debuffs, execute your rotation correctly. Which for a lot of classes is like one or two buttons. I just happened to roll pala here.

They need to make Feral Druids more fun to play and also give Windfury to Paladins.
Yeah they should also make HoJ deal 1500% weapon damage and remove itâs cooldown. Arguably could also use a range increase to 60yd.
