just got kicked for wanting to go right in throne of tides i mean im not 85 yet so yes i wanted loot but imo mobs and more xp anyway so i clear most they let me die then kicked me i mean fair enough if they dont wanna do it and i get kicked but 30 minute dungeon debuff for wanting to kill a boss and some trash seems a little meh? rant over xD

Seriously though… Just had Vortex Pinnacle run where mage stood in Storm’s Edge for the entire fight with 1st boss.
Healer told the mage to get inside to avoid taking damage, to which the mage responded with “lol no”.
We had raid geared blood DK tank and DPS, thus that fight ended quickly and the mage was practically only one who required healing.
Right after, the mage was subject to vote kick for reason: “idiot”. Even if true, we cleared the boss, nobody died and thus vote didn’t pass through.
It was however immediately followed by grief vote kick on healer written with exact same reason: “idiot”.
Whether the mage played together with friend who told them about the vote kick I don’t know.
The issue is that people throw vote kick prompts around them like crazy, even for reason that does not deserve to kick someone and ban them for 30 minutes from using RDF, and some people never admit this is problematic.
Yeah, sometimes it’s just better not to talk at all during the dungeon and keep it all inside of yourself and only after the end of the dungeon start cursing to whisper chat everyone for what idiots they are. I ain’t risking getting 30 minute ban.
I think Blizzard should only give the end reward (xp bonus, valor points etc) if all bosses in the dungeon are dead. That’d incentivize people not to skip bosses, and make gearing less awkward for those who need them.
They did say they wanted to implement something like heroic+ into Cata. There are two ways they should approach this, imo. Either make it exactly like WotLK gammas, where every boss drops one currency that can be used to buy items. Or expand the idea of Sidereal essences that was used in WotLK betas. The currency is awarded from the end boss, but also assuming all other bosses are dead aswell.
This would also fix some leveling dungeons. Running BRD prison runs over and over is not fun, and I’d much rather run the whole place once or twice instead.
Players will always pick the path of least resistance, so sometimes I think the developer has to make sure it can’t be abused, and griefed as little as possible.
Edit: While we’re talking LFD griefing. Also fix the rolling system and don’t allow mages to need on plate, warriors to need on intellect, rogues to need on strength, hunters on expertise, etc. The option need should be completely blocked if the item is not useful to your class. Perhaps even demand that you pick your desired loot role before entering dungeon (choose feral, resto, balance for example if you’re a druid) and you can only roll need on gear for that specific spec. They did this in retail WoW later on, so it should work to implement a system like that.

The other day I was in a group where the dps constantly pulled aggro or took unneccesary dmg so I was struggling with mana. Two trash packs before the end, I asked the tank to wait for me to drink some mana. The tank proceded to ignore me, pull the mobs and die. They voted to kick me. Vote kick working as intended for some people on this thread! /sarcasm off.
People skipping trash in normals while leveling is genuinely wow-degenerate logic.
