Decline after decline after decline, just because I haven’t timed that many keys, but here is the question: How am I supposed to time many keys, if I sit in LFG trying to find groups forever? You can’t have exp without doing dungeons and without exp you can’t do dungeons. People are so hesitant to invite someone, who is at the exact skill level that their key is supposed to cover. Also: Most keys up to 20 have tolerance for 2 wipes and a bunch of mistakes.
Introduce a dungeon finder with MMR and match making for M+. Stop being tyrannical over pug players, just because you wanna make it as easy as possible for premades so they can cherry pick the 2.7k rio mythic raider for the +16 dungeon while being 1.8k io. In the last few weeks I barely played M+ anymore due to this, because almost every attempt to get into a dungeon fails in LFG.
Reasons why LFG sucks:
First fail leavers: People, who leave after the first mistake.
Affixes make some classes have a really hard time finding anything.
People use LFG to create pugs to get carried instead of actually progressing through the intended skill stages.
The timer may be required, but it creates a very hostile environment in pugs, where people are easily tilted, etc. Especially someone like me waiting 2 hours and then have some random guy dying to mechanics over and over, even though he has 2.8k IO.
It will distribute the waiting time more fairly. No explanation needed to support this claim, since people wait for the optimal meta comp. I rather wait 30 min in queue with guarantee to get a group than not finding one at all.
The solution is clearly to just assign some type of MMR to people, where people lose rating for failed keys, and just letting them queue. Remove keystones as a concept. Just let people do a dungeon automatically that fits the average rating of their group. Have some rules in the code to guarantee class diversity. It’s not rocket science to create a queue with MMR and match making. I’d love to simultaneously queue M+ and Solo Shuffle while just flying around doing stuff like world pvp and mess around for fun. I think clicking through LFG groups instead having it automated is just a waste of time and not fun.
That is not true. Most comps work up to and including +20, if the players are at the true MMR, and even if it didn’t: It would be trivial to have match making guaranteeing class diversity.
Fact is that I have literally experienced the same thing as him, and it is slowly burning me out and killing my enjoyment for the game.
Nothing stops you from playing with friends, but I wanna play on my own time schedule
Play your own key.
Make friends with a healer.
Make friends with a tank.
Play a tank since you’re a warrior.
You’re gonna wait a looong time even if they implemented that simply because you’re a DPS. I don’t think you quite realize just how many DPS there are relative to the amount of tanks and healers.
My advise, quit the mystic dungeon, who needs it. Can be just as much fun in the heroic, has a queue, and you win every time, can make friend, and the rushers do not have it in their radar because they all busy want to vomit each other paths on the Mystic 30 race.
IF you want solo Q for m+ just look at solo Q for pvp

In m+ pugs for example it is problematic to get into groups or create your own group and it takes a lot of times sometimes but the option to pick people for your key to have succesful run is better then being que instantly but have no control…

Solo shuffle for m+ is a bad idea, it will not solve anyhing. You are not removing root cause which causes you to sit 2-3hours in LFG. You think all of the sudden queue time will be 5mins? No, it won’t.
Reason is simple - there aren’t enough tanks/healers for every dps out there. For example if you have 200tanks, 200healers and 2000dps in the queue - only 600 dps will get an invite, others will get leftout, as they do now.
Better think of ways to give initiative for tanks/healers to play more m+ runs:
If X group sits in LFG for 10mins without healer/tank - apply “Call to arms”, highlightthe group and give couple runes for a tank/healer who helps out. At least I would do more keys for reward.
Just make m+ easier again on the causal segment. Thats it. Nothing more needs to be done. Its a game after all. This ion agenda is going to crash the expansion
The root cause is not actually the distribution between tank healer and dps. Trust me. Else you would wait way longer for healers in raids, because healers always make up around 20% of the comp. In pvp healers make up 33% of the comp and queues pop within 15-30 Minutes. The issue is not lack of healers in M+. I thought so too, but the actual issue is the system incentivizing group leaders to only invite people in pugs, who carry them, and not people, who are at their own skill level. That’s why we need MMR and a queue. I would much rather wait 30 min in queue while being tabbed out than clicking through LFG for over 40 min until I feel burnt out and my eyes hurt from watching everything expire. If you don’t try to breach into +20, you don’t understand my problem as much.
Meanwhile solo shuffle is the most popular and most fun mode in PvP, and people act here as if it was bad, just because it shows their true rating. Don’t tell me LFG is “social mmo”. Bull*****. Nobody talks there outside of one “hi” and then everyone is silent until the dungeon finishes.
If I wanna have social MMO experience, I go with a guild, but I’m not always with a guild, and LFG is inferior to any form of pug system I can think of.
The solo queue per se is a good thing. But because it requires a healer, and healing in PvP is miserable (for the healer and everyone else), the queue times are extremely long.
For M+, solo queue would be easy to implement. All it needs is a few rules:
1 tank, 1 healer, 3 DPS or 2 DPS and 1 Support
1+ heroism spec
1+ battle rez spec
2+ low-CD interrupt specs
1+ off-spec healer
Sufficient M+ rating for that dungeon and active tyrannical/fortified affix
This simple rule set easily would work for up to +20 keys because class balance has actually been pretty good this expansion. Super meta compositions are only needed for the top 0.1% runs.
Nobody socializes in M+ PuGs, so that’s not an argument to not implement this feature.
You unironically don’t need many of these requirements for any key, if the MMR system works properly. You really only “need” class diversity, i.e. one of each class, or a maximum of 2 of one class, and if you have 2 of the same class, the other classes have to be distinct, and then you are fine. It’s really not rocket science. I can program this myself for free on c++ and similar languages easily. It’s really trivial.
Waited 10 minutes for a tank, then another 10 minutes for healer after the tank had joined. I just invited the first that applied from both roles.

There definitely aren’t enough tanks and healers vs the amount of dps. I’ll likely just tank and heal until I get gear on this char because I don’t want to sit around and wait for ages as a dps, lol.

you have way to low score and way to low itlv for keys that you apply for.
or they need specific stuff like cr / bl which you dont provide.
i nearly never spend more then 1-2 minutes applying . when i get more decliens its usualy when i apply for very specific last dungeons i miss completly score from .
to many want to play dps to few play healers / tanks .
always the same reasons lazy low scored people want free boost. and cry when nobody wants to boost them .
