The LFG system for dungeons (especially TimeWalking) is completely broken.
As a DPS, I have to wait about 8–10 minutes, and if another DPS doesn’t accept the invite when it pops up, I have to wait another 8–10 minutes (or more) all over again.
Please, the system needs to maintain some priority in the queue or severely penalize those who join the queue without paying attention.
I understand that issues can always come up, but in that case, either leave the queue or accept the invite. Otherwise, there should be a system in place that blocks access to the LFG for an hour or something similar.
Time is money, and Blizzard, along with those who don’t accept the invites they signed up for, don’t value our time.
The penalty is that you get removed from the queue and have to do it all over. Pretty sure most people get pretty annoyed when they miss the invite. The issue is that the queue is so long that it’s just super typical that it pops just as the doorbell rings, or have to pee. Or something as simple as forgetting there is no sound from the game when you are busy looking at something else. Or listening to a person IRL talking to you.
Yep, I have missed the queue, and I absolutely hate it. Having to requeue, usually means I dont get time at all that evening. I am sorry it’s this triggering to you. You should probably try work on calming down a bit. I also get my queue delayed regulary because others don’t accept the invite. It’s not that much longer wait.
That’s what I like about FFXIV, you get a penalty each time u dont access the Duty Finder (their equivelant of our LFD/LFR) pop up. Haven’t played in a while but I think it was going like this, you were getting a warning for the 1-2 times you didn’t accept, and on the third one a “time out” which was preventing you to queue for anything for 30 minutes.
Same also if you leave at any point while inside the dungeon/raid (30 minutes penalty).
You could always leave in WoW after 1 boss is dead, the recent change in TWW has it made it so you cannot anymore. But I think u can still leave at least in LFR after one point.
In FFXIV you will get penalty regardless at any point.
It’s just an ancient system that could use updating, starting with how they could make it so you don’t need 100% accepts just like in LFR. 2 dps with a tank and a healer should be enough to start a group, and if the last dps doesn’t accept they can be replaced when the rest are already in the dungeon.
Ah,my bad - seems i skipped the “punishment” part,I do apologies.
Second part I still do disagree on,but might just be bad luck dps wise, but a decline for me often end up being another 10min wait, depending on the time of day.
But punishment is not the solution, fully agree on that. Apologies again for missing that part.
Queue times for DPS has always been horrible. 8-10 mins is honestly nothing.
And the only way to bring them down is having more healers and tanks since that’s what we’re waiting for 99.9% of the time - the DPS who didn’t accept the invite is 99 times out of 100 instantly replaced.
