LFG/LFR removed in shadowlands?

There was a discussion between WoW Lead Game Director Ion and Preach, where they talked about many different things in the upcoming Shadowlands expansion, Asmon did a reaction video to that discussion, and Ion said something about (LFG) as whole, and then Asmon got too excited and said LFR is confirmed to be removed in shadowlands, my personal response is as it follows:-

he didn’t even say LFR, he said LFG as a whole thing, and for people like me who can’t find a dedicated raiding guild to raid with, LFG/LFR is what I can do while playing the game to complete raid quests and story related things and achievements and end game contents, and I am very sure many of the people who play the game nowadays agree with me. If they remove LFG/LFR many people will get bored of how the raiding community ask for insane requirements to just do a normal raid, and if they do bad once, they will be kicked, and when they are locked because they had a boss kill, they won’t be accepted in any other raid group, so my week raid run is completely ruined, because of people asking for something only hardcore people can deliver.

LFR offers me options and let me do things slowly separated in the whole week (do one wing of the raid when I see fit in anytime I wish to do it), let’s say I am busy today having to do some work for my job, and only have 3 hours of free time for my self, considering that I have a family and higher proprieties in my life to spend my time on than just sitting the whole day trying to complete a raid, and not even saying that I want to play different parts of the game not just raiding, I want to do questing, and farming old raids as well.

so yes LFR/LFG makes my life a lot easier and makes me able to play the game a lot more and experience things way more than just do one thing.

hardcore players have mythic dungeons and raids, why look at LFR? you don’t even have to que for it, but we also want to enjoy the game we love and be able to play it as a whole, and as we paid for.

It won’t be removed, Don’t worry.

Why would they remove those? The majority of players use that in some form, it just doesn’t make sense.

The main concern would be to worry about the ilevel of the gear being pathetic like in BFA.

Trouble is, Asmon says something and everyone takes it as gospel. LFR/LFG is staying, don’t worry about that

LFG/LFR’s removal is basically a request specifically in hopes of creating the bigger incentive for the playerbase to form clans and raid as guilds, instead of just pugging everything.

But that ship has sailed long ago. The gaming community isn’t like before anymore. You can’t expect the same rules to apply.

Yes. LFG/LFR potentially ruined some aspects of social interactivity, but you can’t force it out and consider things better.

What people like Asmongold or other streamers want is something that won’t work. Their mindset is understandable, but their goal isn’t going to happen in retail.

How does LFR/LFG affect the gladiators and hardcore pvers? It’s a QoL in my opinion, it saves a lot of time for casuals as myself.
If you don’t want to be grouped with randoms, join a guild, community or find friends.

There’s no reason to remove them, each player can play with pugs or their guilds, it’s their choice.

And i don’t think it takes much for Blizzard to balance a LFR encounter, since they just remove some mechanics from what’s in the normal mode and reduce hp/dmg for the encounters.

Ive always assumed they start with Mythic and just work backwards.

Has this question ever been asked and replied to by a dev?

Yeah because people don’t constantly pug heroic, Heck even parts of mythic get pugged. LFR isn’t the reason of the social decline. Standing in a trade chat spamming “LF mage for Kara” isn’t being social.

Just becouse something is used by lot of players becouse of covinience and efficiency doesnt make it good feature. If you would be actual proper mmorpg player you would just accept fact you wont get to experience all the mmorpg content. LFG and LFR never made game better. it made game more acessible. But acessiability never makes game better. It always makes game worse.

like i said. The mindset is fine. But this idea won’t work. The gaming community has changed. It grew and it expanded. You can’t expect 15 years ago to be the case of today.

Gaming coimmunity is shaped by game desing of your game not by time or w/e you guys tend to blame it on.

Such a polite and informed way to start a discussion.

I haven’t heard anyone asking this.
I assumed they start with heroic or mythic and then go down for normal and LFR to where they deem appropriately.

I just said going down from normal because that would be the path.

Personally i’d start with heroic, where i want to have the following mechanics in the encounter: x, y, z, 1, 2.
For Normal i’d put: x, y, 1
For LFR: X, 1
But for mythic they would go and do something to alter their current mechanics instead, instead of adding separate ones (though there are exceptions like mythic N’zoth).
So it looks like, mythic: x2, y, z2, 1a, 2

This is besides the hp/dmg balancing of the boss and its adds.

Pet and Mount collectors don’t social much either, do we need to remove the content?

If someone don’t bother to read up on bosses or have a busy life they belong in LFR and not in a raiding guild.

Some players just want to quests or other light content and we shouldn’t take that away from them.

There shoukd be content for casual player and more hardcore players but it shouldnt be done via difficulty levels.

yay for making it so that nothing of value could drop from the lower diff/tier raids /s

Having the ilevel lower than doing 4 quests that take 5 mins? Makes no sense. LFR is more time and effort than world quests. Guess you didn’t try N’zoth LFR the first weeks it was out?

Try ignoring the tactics in the ilevel aimed at RF, See how easy it is, It’s a misconception that you can just do whatever and the boss will die.

To be honest you seem like the toxic one, not raiders. Your “all raiders are bad and toxic and they just abuse everyone” is a ridiculously toxic opinion and I hope you reflect on yourself and become a better person.
