There was a discussion between WoW Lead Game Director Ion and Preach, where they talked about many different things in the upcoming Shadowlands expansion, Asmon did a reaction video to that discussion, and Ion said something about (LFG) as whole, and then Asmon got too excited and said LFR is confirmed to be removed in shadowlands, my personal response is as it follows:-
he didn’t even say LFR, he said LFG as a whole thing, and for people like me who can’t find a dedicated raiding guild to raid with, LFG/LFR is what I can do while playing the game to complete raid quests and story related things and achievements and end game contents, and I am very sure many of the people who play the game nowadays agree with me. If they remove LFG/LFR many people will get bored of how the raiding community ask for insane requirements to just do a normal raid, and if they do bad once, they will be kicked, and when they are locked because they had a boss kill, they won’t be accepted in any other raid group, so my week raid run is completely ruined, because of people asking for something only hardcore people can deliver.
LFR offers me options and let me do things slowly separated in the whole week (do one wing of the raid when I see fit in anytime I wish to do it), let’s say I am busy today having to do some work for my job, and only have 3 hours of free time for my self, considering that I have a family and higher proprieties in my life to spend my time on than just sitting the whole day trying to complete a raid, and not even saying that I want to play different parts of the game not just raiding, I want to do questing, and farming old raids as well.
so yes LFR/LFG makes my life a lot easier and makes me able to play the game a lot more and experience things way more than just do one thing.
hardcore players have mythic dungeons and raids, why look at LFR? you don’t even have to que for it, but we also want to enjoy the game we love and be able to play it as a whole, and as we paid for.
