Its not about “showing it of”…its basically just expressing it in the first place. Never once in 15 years of this community have I opened a thread saying “hey i’m straight”. No-one cares who you shufty or how these days so no need to proclaim it.

Edit: to explain, if people wouldn’t bat an eye if somebody was hat or not, there wouldn’t be a need for these discussions. As long as there are hostile attitudes, there is no choice but to create safe spaces.

Yeah, no, that’s not how freedom of speech works. Like, at all. There’s a whole load of stuff not covered by freedom of speech, including language likely to cause harassment or distress. Homophobia included.
It’s also worth pointing out that, as a private company, Blizzard has total rights to take action against you for behaviour it deems contrary to it’s TOS (Again, homophobia included), and that Freedom of Speech simply doesn’t apply in that scenario.
