These nerfs are formulaic by now. They’re doing it so they can provide a challenge for the race to world first guilds while artificially keeping the actual Mythic raiding population essentially soft-timegated by abusing their relative lack of skill compared to guilds like Method.
It’s very demotivating as a mythic raider and I have to say that I hope they stop.
I think it’s more to avoid ilvl inflation. Prior expansions the leap between tiers was significantly more then it is now. If they made dinars able to buy myth gear straight away they would likely need to make the jump higher. I’m not saying they’re right but I feel like that is why it’s different to fated seasons
Surely nerfs are helpful in that situation? Or is it when they nerf it too much ?
The nerfs are pre-meditated, that’s the problem. It’s not that they nerfed anything, it’s that they deliberately overtuned it, wasting your time until the nerf comes in, and you know it’s coming, because it always comes.
Characters should grow stronger with effort. If Blizzard just nerfs it passively then it feels really hollow.
I remember several times where my guild struggled to down a boss. Got it to 10% and had to call it for the night. Next week comes around and the boss got nerfed. After 1-2 wipes getting used to the new timings, the boss falls over - after 200 wipes.
All this effort and learning, and we just knew we could’ve done it in 40 tries had we started with the new version in the first place.
Whilst the nerfs are par for the course, I still do not understand the logic of barring the bulk of the playerbase from benefitting from the dinar vendor.
