And besides, not sure if you’ve ever been on roleplaying servers, but it is quite common to use body type 2 even when playing male characters. Simply because the body shape is different. After all, a young appreciate won’t probably look like a muscular hunk or something of that sort. This way, people can at least be closer to the design they wanted for their characters.

wouldnt it be complete against any logic, aint the whole point of being some other gender they are not naturally, so why would they want to put opposite gender voice on it which it represents?

i really hope its like different style of voices instead this cause this is just silly and makes no sense even for the minority it would be targeted on

i mean there is million issues and bugs on the game still like pet party frames, surely they would want to fix their game aswell

i think this subject is a minefield but it just seems very unlogical that someone who would want to be different gender she/he is naturally wouldnt also want her voice to match the which ever gender it is they play

I want more customizations; Like being able to pick ANY voice for my toon, or ANY hairstyle.

Erp is just a sub section of rp that most people don’t even do. Hell, there’s a number of people who are using body type 2 for male characters and they don’t erp at all.

Loves, you gotta know that this infamous side of rp is quite the minority. You could actually be very surprised at how wholesome stuff can be.

Heh, well - I don’t see the problem with us being able to select voices, and there’s no indication of it being a shop item.

The whole idea of giving male voices to female characters, which I am sure is a major part of this, is likely going to be something used by trolls (and I don’t mean the race) first and non-binaries a distant, distant second - but that’s not going to stop Blizzard anyway.

Having multiple different voices per race per gender - or even being able to select voices across races (because that could sometimes make sense) would be a great addition.

But the addition I am looking most forward to in any RPG game, and which WoW could play a fantastic host to, is text-to-speech voice generation using AI. Or AI-based voice changers - same concept.

Imagine walking around Stormwind and the things that people are saying in /say ACTUALLY sound like those characters, and not the human behind them, speaking. Like it’s full dialogue. Positional audio, different voices, facial expressions - the whole deal. We have the technology now - it’s only a matter of applying it.

Sure, it will never reach the level of a true voice acting professional, but it doesn’t need to for these day-to-day interactions. This could be a revolutionary technology in MMO’s. It’s going to be hard to implement though - but not impossible.
