Alright. So what about the breasts?
You canāt deny the breasts. Body-2 has breasts. Males have not. If a Body-2 tells me heās a man in the roleplay, i wouldnāt buy it. Why? Because breasts.
If he plays a dude with breasts, however, then weāre back in goldshire again.
In roleplay text is pretty much the thing that is the most important, positioning and such being secondary. It often takes quite a bit of imagination, and that includes for instance not acknowledging limitations of the models. Tattoos for instance are a thing that we cannot decide all the way we like. We have some options, and that is only on some races. So imagination that the model might not be fully accurate is very much needed. People also oftentimes get artwork done for their characters, and even if the gameplay model has said features, the art can show the character as it is meant to be.
However, people still try to make the models as close to how it is meant to be as possible. And having a more fitting voice? Certainly helps with it too.
So itās easier to think away the hourglass figure and breasts of a woman than the muscles of a man with a proper transmog or the ears of a male elf?
I donāt know, man. That doesnāt make a lot of sense to me. Body 2 is a woman (donāt let Blizzard gaslight you lol) and thatās what I would see all the time, even with as much imagination as I have.
Iām hoping this means new voice sets, like Human Male 1 - 4. If itās only that you can have Bergitta, the Kul Tiran shot putter with deep growling voiceā¦ lol. I guess if someone wants to have an annoying clown character.
For a good number of people? Yes. Even irl you have a number of guys you have a more feminine looking silhouette. Iām not talking about breasts here or something, but still.
For instance if you want to play a lean draenei guy, the body 2 option will probably be closer to what you are after even though things like breasts are a thing.
It is pretty much subjective, yeah. Honestly I feel like the best way for them to do it is to actually create new models, even if they are basically just the old ones with stuff like chest customization which would be helpful for the reasons you mentioned above.
I am simply saying that the closer people are to what their character is supposed to look like, the happier theyād be. Even now many do it, and they still have the female voice.
