im lvling a new shaman and i noticed that lightning bolt does less dmg than chain lightning on one target . for the life of me i cant find some modifier that would do that . chain lightning is supposed to be 64% spell power lb 95% and lava burst 97%. lava burst is miles ahead from lb so it cant be 2% difference and cl with lightninb bolt are somewhat close. my 60 lvl shammy has the same and its not only tooltip showing. any ideas?
Under what circumstances have you noticed this? Are you sure it’s not some kind of macro tooltip chicanery?
if you spec elemental and dont take the talent from the general tree improved lightning bolt lb does lower dmg than chain in 1 target. thing is the 2 spells have huge difference on sp value then one being 64% and the other 95%. yet if you dont spec into 20% more dmg for lb it does less dmg. check it out.
