List of Night Fae companions - Queen's Conservatory question

I’ve been trying to Google these things, but idk if I’m using the wrong key words or if people just haven’t really written about these things yet.

Is there a complete list of the Night Fae companions? I have 10 companions now, but after I accidentally clicked on a quest (I’m not a fan of quests unless I’m forced to do them) and found a “free” companion, I’m starting to wonder if there are others out there that I should be getting that I don’t have?

And about the Queen’s Conservatory – I recently upgraded to rank two and have quite a few spirits to plant when it’s finally finished. Does it matter where I plant the spirits? And is there something I should be aware of before putting them into the ground?

Obviously not asking for essay-long explanations or guides, but I appreciate any simplistic pointers. Thanks!

Hey Tathan,

Both of the answers for your questions can be found on wowhead, albeit hidden in some pretty long overview guides, so let me (hopefully) narrow that down a little here:

Night Fae Companions: Clicking here will bring you to the part of the guide that has a full list of all available companions. The list on the article itself does not contain their mode of acquisition, but you can just click on names of companions you don’t have yet, and check in the comments on the respective pages to see if they mention where you can get it.
Quick personal note here: 10 companions actually sounds about right. A lot of them are gated behind renown levels we can’t reach yet, so you shouldn’t be too far off

Queen’s Conservatory: The guide for this on wowhead is a bit of a beast, but generally speaking, the spirits alone and which spirits you plant don’t impact your rewards without catalysts. Catalysts (which you should find from now on, seeing that your Conservatory is rank 2) can also be planted and empower nearby seed plots to either decrease the time they take to grow, increase the amount of rewards you get, or increase the quality of reward you get.
Two sections in the guide that might be handy:

  • Click here for a quick overview of how the full conservatory looks like, where seeds and catalysts are placed, and how they empower each other.
  • Click here for a table of rewards. The spirits you find will have their rewards tied to the respective zone they’re from, so depending on whether you plant a dutiful (Kyrian), martial (Necrolords), untamed (Night Fae) or prideful (Venthyr) spirit, it will have an impact of what zone-/covenant-specific rewards you get, once they’re empowered by a catalyst.

Phew, this turned out a little longer than expected already, but hopefully this is concise enough. Obviously feel free to read through the linked guides in more depth, and feel free to shoutout here if you need anything else

You, my friend, are a gem. Thanks a million!

EDIT: I think the only question I have, if someone stumbles across this old post, is: Can I only use one anima catalyst plot at a time at rank 2? I see four on the ground, but I can’t put any wildseed into three of them. (Currently waiting two days for the one I just planted to finish.)

EDIT2: Never mind. /facepalm
