Back in the day when I was a waiter at Nandos, I used to do this all the time and get away with it, see if your guildmates can figure out how I did it.
Towards the end of their meal, I overheard 3 friends agreeing to split the bill, they each put 10ÂŁ in the pot.
When dealing with money in front of costumers, I always like to keep my hands in their line of sight, to simulate this, weâre going to do the math together so everyone can follow along.
10 + 10 + 10 = 30
So the pot is 30 pounds
One of the friends then signal for a waiter and coincidentally (I think not ) I was the closest one to their table.
Their bill was 25ÂŁ
-Hands where everyone can see-
30 - 25 = 5
5 pounds is a bit problematic to split between 3 people and since itâs customary to leave a 5% tip, I took 2 pounds for myself and gave a pound back to each of them, thus making the amount they each put in the pot one pound less.
-Letâs do the math-
10 - 1 = 9
10 - 1 = 9
10 - 1 = 9
Ok now to make sure that nothing fishy happened, letâs add everything back up.
9 + 9 + 9 = 27
Plus the 2 pounds I took as a tip
27 + 2 = 29
Doesnât make any sense right?..or did you not notice that a pound is missing?
In the zone just north of Orgrimmar are some quest (think the story are about mage, tho, all can do it), at the end of this quest chain are some trails.
Shadow = lure shadowy mobs into something.
Fire = dont stand in fire (ppl get stacks).
Ice = again, ppl have to run around, collecting ice stuff while avoiding things.
The shadow one might be bad, but, the 2 other might be fun to see multi ppl run around do at the same time
(For ice however, tell em they cant use flying mount, no cheating!).
For the fire to be a bit more fun, you can even add in some âraid makerâ on some of those spots, you can call them âwallsâ, aka, ppl cant stand there (even if its a safe zone).
Edit note: They also have some achievement bound to them (under quest / kalimdor).
You can always say the winner are the one that trigger the achi first.
If they already have them, tell em to log a alt ^^.
I used to be in a guild that would do scavenger hunts. GM would take a screenshot of himself somewhere in game and we had to go find that location. Could tie a prize to it as well.
Gnome darts.
(Go to a high point, the gnome target jumps of and dies. Each person then jumps of as well and tries to land as close to gnome as they can. Closest one wins)
