We are unlikely to lift this lock anytime soon, so we’d advise you to make a character on a different realm that is not as full if you want to play. This is again part of the pain and discomfort that we described when we said we’d actively manage realms.

my little brother paid a sub to play for his first time with me and got server lock

How is your experience any different if u play on different realm as long as u play with same people?
Another charged back sub. So much for Season of Dissapoint. Thankfully i did not expect any less from blizzard so i kind of expected something to terribly fc up. 2x5hr queue after work in to separation from friends for friday night. I manage to refund my sub also,they say 72 hrs to return money,but i can’t log into game,anymore but can write here for now 
Any chance we could get an update on just how long “not anytime soon” is? Just knowing whether it is days or weeks could make the decision much easier for many guilds/friend groups.

Hi,anyone having issues with missing characters on Lone Wolf?
Yeah I think the servers are having issues mine aren’t showing on Lone Wolf either, imagine it won’t fix itself before the maintenance starts in 25 minutes.
There’s only one (maybe two) realms that will still have players in a few months. Not being able to play on them will massively impact your experience in that you’ll have to reroll then.
I am note a new player. I have a char on this server and cannot log in?
good stuff guys! keep it up, maybe if u locked it 20 hrs earlier you would be able to keep it running:P
Your solution would be to add 4000 additional players to a breaking at the seams server?. So what? You can scream when its 4-5 hour queues for the next month demanding fixes?.
I get this is annoying and yes it most defintly is, but we cant honestly think adding 4000 accounts to a extremely unstable server sas the right decision here.

For all we know, chaos bolt could have far more long term players then Lone Wolf. Your making the same risk with any server choice.
If you look at classic you will know its the polar opposite, blizzard are terrible at unlocking servers. And with no new players pouring in its far more likely lone wolf will die. Just like the servers in classic that got locked were.
Personally I think only Living Flame has long term potential, but yeah. We’re all making this bet. Everyone is trying to pick the server with the best long term prospects. If that means sitting in hours of queues for now, so be it.

They will lock these servers for too long i garuntee it, this was the downfall of the classic servers that got overpopulated during classics launch.
They get locked, population falls, they dont unlock. And it becomes too late.
Anyone who wants to play with friends. Is basically moving server, the games capped at 25, and its simply easier to not be on a locked realm.

They got what they wanted. 15 bucks from tons of hopeful players. Now they’re gonna lay low and put in the least amount of effort possible.

Jesus you doomers pour in quickly. The servers are Overfilled, what do you honestly expect to happen.
If they leave servers open, Players get mad at huge queues
If they lock servers Players get mad they cant join the servers with massive queues
The hypers are generally the first out, which is the primary of both lone wolfs and living flames players, The likelyhood is Chaos bolt will rein supreme lol off the bat of simply the other 2 being cut off now, and once their populations decrease they’ll be on a Locked Server
