As all us know that Living Flame currently open for new players. And ofc i did a character there. But I was kinda surprised by how empty server is. May be I mistaken, but Lonely Wolf now looks way better, am I right?

It is what it is. I have a characters on both servers. Sadly 2+ months isolation did a heavy hit to Living Flame population. Lone Wolf looks much more alive.

It has more layers. So it looks more empty. just wait till they remove some.

Blame Blizzard creating way more layers instead of investing in server infrastructure

According to Nova World Buffs both servers (Lone Wolf and Living Flame) have the same amount of layers (10)

The addon will only show up to ten layers from what I understand so chances are there are a lot more than 10 during peak hours.

False. NWB will show all existed zones (layers) and can show up to 50 layers according to interface limitation (amount you can’t find ingame).

It has been like this since week 3 of Phase 1 :rofl:. Many people on the forums said LF was empty but people kept asking to be let in, worried about what they were missing.

Nope, it only show up to 10 now. I use addon and only can see number 1-10, if its more it like layer 11 it wont show the number. You can see this in game.

Living flame is clearly the biggest server and its many layers make it seem empty sadly.

You can see 10 layers, because 10 layers is all what exist. There is 10 different zones ID on Living Flame atm (NWB just read those zones ID and show you in numerical order)

If you see the things, that doesnt exist, i have a bad news for you :grinning: There is no thing like 11th layer in game atm. 10 feels very empty, and you want more?

All cities and open world (except active STV event) feel dead and empty, no matter server. For whatever reason:

  1. They still use VMs and this garbage layering system that never worked well with Classic.
  2. Layers remain world-wide instead of region-wide.

Kalimdor is really only in need of 1 layer, everywhere except STV is. But instead we have a dozen layers because STV in Eastern Kingdom “demands” it.
That makes no sense and shows just how poorly structured layering is and how ridiculous these PvP events are designed.

NWB will only show 10 layers. If you know how to check Lua then you will find this in the NovaWorldBuffs.lua file.
line 48 reads: NWB.limitLayerCount = 10;

Can you understand, sometimes NWB doesnt show your the number? Do you know why? Cause its layer 11+.

10 feels empty because every layer feels empty, since there are too many like i said. Bro, check your facts before stating anything

You dont even need to do that, just download addon and play the game. When your layer 11+ it wont show the number. Literally anyone can check there are more than 10 layers. But bro living his own reality i guess.

Now when Blizzard reduced the number of layers, you can perfectly see, that Lone Wolf has more layers, than Living Flame. Lone Wolf has 4 layers atm, Living Flame 3 layers. In prime time Lone Wolf also has 1-2 layers more, than Living Flame.
