Fun fact: People probably have no problems with someone playing multiple roles. They do have a problem with people who don’t answer questions like a human being would.
It’s not stupid asking you which role you want, most people prefer one role. A non-elitist answer would have been “what role do you want me to fill” but you just threw a hissy fit, stuck you nose in the air and treated them like idiots.
How can they fill the group otherwise? You say I can be all roles, that’s fine but they wanted a specific role, or wanted you to choose one so they can fill the rest of the group.
You then came on the forums expecting people to agree with you and when they don’t you act surprised.
You just invite people as the role you want people as when they sign as 3 roles. It’s not that difficult. This is the first time I even encounter this and I’ve been signing to all groups as 3 roles.
They obviously has all slots free so wanted you to choose. Anyone can see that, well anyone except you.
Ah, no wonder why you were not able to comprehend the question. Your inhuman mind did not face such a scenario before.
So what if there are slots free? When I invite someone signing as several roles I tell them what I role want them on by inviting them as that role, not ask them what role they want to play as they’re obviously fine with playing the roles they signed with.
Just no getting through to you is there?

I don’t understand what’s so difficult to understand about inviting people as the role you want them as. If someone signs as all 3, it means they’re fine with playing all 3. You don’t go asking them “what’s your main spec”. That’s just a stupid question.
Considering how many is arguing against it, it clearly isnt a stupid to anyone but you.

Because you can’t comprehend that people play all 3 roles for some reason. Yet the vast majority of groups just invite me as the role they want me as.
Oh well, i have signed on my shaman as dps and resto, and i was doing WQ’s in elemental. Definitely respecced when someone asked me if i could heal. Which was by the way my main spec too.

It is signing with the parameters; i am willing to heal and dps, i am prefering this one to dps, and i am maining resto.

Having a main spec or even class is a dying vestige of what this game once was.
Managing and influencing positive reaction to change takes grace and humility.
Yes his question wasn’t very apt, but your response only served to solidify his preconceived bias.
Please for the sake of everyone, in the future, show the same amount of care and proficiency with your human interactions as you have for your character.
Then, I’m sure you’ll be successful at changing the narrative.
Better question: what is wrong with that you can’t just answer “i play all speccs” instead of a stupid “yes” to a question that can’t be answered with a yes or no?
I did that by signing as all 3 roles already.
It’s still a dumb response. And also, if someone tells me he mains all 3 speccs i instantly assume he plays all 3 speccs equally bad. No wonder you get declined…

People complaining about others asking questions, unbelievable.
You might consider giving a richer answer than just “Yes”; perhaps “I’m tanking/healing or DPS this key”.
You know, leaders need to choose members in order to form a group.
Normally players think what they want to do before joining a key.
If I wanted to specifically do one role I would sign as only that role. Not all 3.
yeah but people cant read your mind. noone except you knows that. thats the whole point isnt it.
So you don’t think before joining something? I thought players had insight, such a disappointment.
Then, I could suggest writing something like: “I can play whatever is needed, I know all roles”.
That’s what signing as all 3 roles already says.
