I think the “events” (little golden horns) and the Reserchers under fire you can do again and again ment to be that catchup - not the greatest but constant source of renown
But yeah, leveling mole-people renown up to 20 was a headache

Still at least thay implemented the alt-catchup, and if you do that compagain (half an hour tops?) it rewards you around 6-7 2000 rep tokens, and with the 200%-300% alt boost it is quite nice (tho’ if you not playing the craft-game, then useless to do it on alts, if you do? Yeah, you need some level on that to have the ability to convert that tons of dragon isles supplies in to trader boulders for the skill books/materials for recipes)

You get 50 rep for any aditional Researchers under fire. Not worth doing it. I find myself struggling to catch up, especially when the zone is nearly empty.

They should add something to be traded , like fish for the tuskar or something .

They could add rep to rares perhaps. At least there’d be more people in ZC again for a bit

Considering pathfinder is coming, catch up mechanics would be very welcome at this point for many.

Alts catchup pretty fast. Yesterday I dinged 70 on new character and already at renown 12, even bought profession recipe for 40 boulders.
All I did was Researchers under fire in raid group and campaign up to Loamm.

Isn’t that once per week 250 rep?

I have done multiple times Researchers and am through the campaign, but my rep is 8

It is once per week but the amount you get depends on how well it was cleared. I’ve had 1,000 rep from it.
Do it on a Saturday afternoon and you’ll get a good group in LFG and earn the 1,000 rep. Do a few WQs to earn the other 500 for the weekly quest and it’ll give you another 500. So that’s 2,000 a week for Researchers and a few WQs (and maybe a sniffen treasure).

Slow and steady (like a snail race). I’m 14 with them now. I’ve found all the reps in DF to be slow and steady, do the weekly quest and some weekly events.

Ok, so it can be up to 1000 per week, but Pounder claims that he got to renown 12 in one day lol.

Is the 300% catchup for alts applying in this?
I could see someone doing the questline that has a bunch of 2000 rep tokens as reward in a day that could do this with 300%.

On an alt there’s the renown boost if another character is at 10, I’m guessing that’s the reason. I can’t remember if 20 gives another boost, like with the other renown. If you want to speed it up that is the most efficient way, get one character to 10, then do it on an alt.

Aha, alts have catch-up which is nice but it will not help with pathfinder.

It will in so far that once you have 10 on one, the renown… doubles iirc…?.. till 10 on the alt. That may sound useless but you’ll still have rep sources like quests or rep tokens etc to get you to 15 that you already did/used on your main.

They made rep farm to be rocket science lmao. What was wrong with emissaries?

Haha. It is nice once you’ve slogged through it all on your main, the alts sort of zoom through

And a WQ is about 75 rep :man_facepalming:

I liked rep in MOP. You could pick up 3 or 4 dailies in one small area, these would take 15 or 20 minutes. Hand these in (for 200 or 300 rep each) then they would usually give another 2 or 3 (depending on Honoured or Reveered) which were usually to go kill some lieutenant or the captain and these give 300 or 400. So you’re getting like 2000 rep a day. Exalted needed 42k so that’s about 20 days. 3 weeks to max rep with 30 minutes of play time per day.

I would do one faction at a time. Some players did them all at the same time though and burnt out.
I like to focus on one goal at a time which is another reason I don’t like these Renown, they’re all slow and steady doing them all.
