Good Evening!

Wow is getting many of changes nowadays. One of them is more LGBT stuff is added. But I am afraid how this would be taken world wide.

I live in a Country that is very strict about these things. Many of my people have been playing WOW since Burning Crusade. Now imagine the country suddenly bans the game because of these changes. You may think that’s harsh, but trust me I have seen a Disney movie being rejected for including a 3 second LGBT dance.

So please I ask that you be a little more careful with these changes. Many of us do not want to lose wow.

Keep in mind I am not blaming anyone for anything. Blizzard is free to do whatever they want to do.

So your logic is that we do not better ourselves to ensure we keep up with the people in the back?

Let me guess… Russia?

That’s on the people in charge in that country - not Blizzard.

I cannot say. But it is Middle East. Many of us play on EU because we are fluent in English.

That’s interesting considering how Actiblizzard tries not to lose china customers

Your concern should be that your country is one where you’d fear the mention of gay people existing might get the game banned. This is not an Activision problem, this is your country’s problem. You should be active and voting for people who support expansion of liberty and who wouldn’t cause you to fear that art might get censored for pointing out that yes, reality exists.

What LBGT things are added into the game?
You mean the free sex-change in the Barber Shop?

No not that :joy:

I am talking about Flynn and Mathias Shaw

Night Warrior males

It is all becoming more common more fast. The strict countries are will be able to notice at this point and I can’t imagine what the future will bring but I am scared of losing wow. It’s my favorite game

I can imagine how your country leaders are playing WoW and reading all the quest-chains to find out if any NPCs are gays or not

Tell them it’s all a lie - Flynn and Tae were written in the stars!

Dude just go away. You are essentially saying that you are against progress because you don’t want your stupid game taken away.
What if WoW was making middle eastern people look stupid and pathetic and Europe said that if Blizzard stopped doing it they would ban the game. Can we then say that they need to keep making you look dumb and pathetic so we can keep playing the game? Or is it different because it effects you?
Just leave.

There is also this polemic about this supposed trans character that gives you a quest. But, from what I know (I might be mistaken) but it sounds much more like a reference to reincarnation, to me.

What about alcohol? Is your country against it? They sentence to death for drinking alcohol in some mid-east countries. Brewfest is just around the corner… this weekend. Better not let them see this event.

But I never said they should make LGBT people look stupid. That is a bad example to use.

…and who votes for them.

To be fair would it really make a difference? (If it’s where I’m thinking of)

Honestly, the best advice; vote for better leadership of your country.

The rise of personal freedoms, tolerance and liberalism is inevitable. We live in a weird minority phase of history where for some reason same-sex relationships are frowned on. Sooner or later we’ll get back to the norm where, frankly, nobody cares who you fancy unless they also fancied that person.

And if it was Roman times, that’s still game on, tbqh.

You’re honestly not very bright if you believe there is any political party in the middle east that is asking for votes to make the country more LGBT friendly.
