Hello. Many servers have gone from “Full” to “High” on the realm list and are still locked and have been locked for months. Was this not supposed to be a temporary solution? Why am I still not allowed to move my alts to my mains server? I’ve lost contact with my guild as I am being forced to play my alts on a dead server. Isnt it about time to let us atleast move to these servers if we already have a max level character there?
I know for a fact many others are having this exact problem as me and we are all feeling ignored. Please unlock the servers or merge all the low population servers together so they become playable.
Ashbringer Alliance is still dead and have been since the pre-patch because a horrible decision to only allow hordes to move there was made, completely ignoring the fact there was less then 500 “active” players there. Its still lower then 500 after several months. Hardly anything useful on the AH, barely any raids available. Theres not really an option to move from Ashbringer either as the few good choices are all locked, and to be honest we shouldnt even have to pay for this service when the server we play on is unplayeable for our faction.
My guess is they want to avoid another cascade effect. This time last expansion, a bunch of servers died as some guilds moved and everyone panicked and followed. So they’ll probably leave the mega servers locked for as long as they have a healthy population sitll. I wouldn’t expect unlocks until ToC.
Your best bet at this point is getting some looms and leveling the chars you need on your main’s server yourself.
My server has been dead since mid TBC when I quit playing because of it so I missed the free transfers, and when the choice comes to leveling from 1 with nothing or leveling my old TBC chars from 70-80 who already have professions and epic flying thats yet another reason why I wouldnt level a new character. Should I be forced to throw away all my progression on these characters because my server is dead? Doesn’t feel right.
It took me 15 minutes yesterday to loot 6 wine glasses in Dalaran. Blizzard is too greedy to improve their servers so locked is probably going to stay locked.
You are right, you’re getting hosed here. However, they’re not going to stop hosing you. You have only the choice to accept it or take your own consequences, e.g. leave.
i have the same problem i have a character in Ashbringer (Ally side ) no raids no pvp no activities can be done it’s really frustrating not being able to use and play and have fun , we don’t need firemaw to be unlocked just the less ally populated servers !!!
They unlocked Golemagg a week ago and it’s awful, there are soooooo many bots now. There’s a quest in Borean Tundra where you need to kill some Fire elementals and there’s 6 bots there. The quest where you need to free mammoth calves? At least 10 bots.
In the evening you can see a string of Mage bots in Orgrimmar who run from the Portal master down the FP tower, to the AH then vendor before they hearth. All have BOE gear only and not a single 1 has a mount. I counted at least 30 of them last night alone.
