Locking the metamorphosis rune behined a raid/alliance areas is just plain wrong

If your on a pvp server you are quite literally screwed, it will be next to impossible to get the first 2 orbs, due to them being in alliance areas… Also why only alliance areas?

The only rune to be locked behind a raid is just ridiculous
What happens when we move onto 40 and people still need it but noones running BFD anymore?
I like many others was looking forward to tanking RFC/SFK/WC as a lock tank, it was by far the main reason i wanted to give SOD a good go

Shamans, warriors, druids all tanking at low levels … rogue and lock, the ones people wanted to play as tank … will take forever to actually get there… if it all

Sort it out blizz, at least remove the raid component
Add the orbs to Horde Areas so pvp servers actually have a chance

Thats not true, Earth shield for shaman also is locked behind a prequest from the raid.

But yeah, that design is pretty crap.

It really sucks.
Wouldn’t mind if its just a rune that gives more power, but locking the one rune that changes your role behind the raid? wtf
At the point I can finally tank I no longer need to run any dungeons in this phase

How accurate that is and what a conveniently placed line return.

These tanking runes should definitely be achieved earlier. For those just starting out tanking, wouldn’t it be wise to learn to tank starter dungeons instead of raids?..… :frowning:

It really is blatant Alliance favoritism. I don’t mind the fact we have to do BFD all that much, but not only do we have to go through Duskwood and Redridge to get Incinerate and one of the orbs, we have to cross Darkshore in its entirity to get the staff. It’s absurd.

Also obscuring the rune behind a follow-up quest to another quest that most Horde Warlocks tend to not bother with because of Crescent Staff existing really is foul play from Blizzard. And as mentioned above, once the level cap raises, how are you going to convince people to run a level 25 raid for this?

Bad design all around.

The Alliance bias is unreal for Warriors too. All runes that are not obtainable by like level 15 require travel to specific areas. Around 10 total. 8 of those are in Alliance favored or Alliance zones, one is Hillsbard and another is Stonetalon. 4 of them are in freaking Wetlands.

The biggest insult is that Warbringer, the one rune that might let warriors not be free kills for almost all ranged classes, is locked behind the Ratchet vendor, requiring you to not only go to hostile zones but also grind level 28 mobs in them. Luckily everybody has to do that so at least now it’s not too impossible to find groups.

Also worth noting that by doing this LFG is completely flooded by Warlocks now that the information is out, making it pretty challenging to join groups.

Don’t worry druids and then warlocks are next after hunters to be nerfed. In the end there will be warriors on top as it has been :grin:
