Login on EU while on vacation in Vietnam

Hello,

Simple but really important question.

Next month i will be on vacation for 4 weeks to Vietnam with my wife and kid. During the evenings i wanne try to play some WoW to keep up to date.

Is it possible to log into WoW EU servers from Vietnam without using VPN?

I’ve done the same thing from Japan without using a VPN so I don’t see why it would be a problem. You’ll have high latency so bare this in mind if you’re planning things like raiding - you might find it too frustrating.

I’ve logged in from various countries over the years while travelling. You probably WILL trigger an authenticator request, and maybe an SMS protect request too, but other than that, you should be fine.

I live in Vietnam and play on EU servers. You can log in fine, but expect a ping of about ~200-300ms.

If you have an authenticator you may want to take it as it may require you to input the code from it.

you haven’t found a way to lower the ping? VPN doesn’t work too well
